Will you miss Judas Priest?

I've been a Judas Priest fan for about 30 years, but I won't really miss them. They have over 40 years worth of music to listen to still and they've earned a chance to retire and enjoy life. What are most 60 year old's doing? Not touring the world. More power to them.

JP is my favorite band of all time, but seriously these old bands should hang it up.

The reunion between Halford and the rest of the band about five or six years back actually produced a reasonably decent effort (Angel of Retribution) which is more than most groups do when they re-unite after several years past their prime. Though Halford's range wasn't what it was back in the day (too many sperm blasts to the throat? :D), the effort was decent and quite listenable. It was a nice period to put on their career and they should have stopped after the tour for that one. I guess they have put out a couple more CDs since then, but they were panned really bad by reviewers so I didn't even bother with them.

I'm glad they got back together for a few years, but yes its time to hang up the guitars or do something else. Will always listen to their classic stuff fairly regularly.

What is your favorite JP "hymn"?

Judas Priest suck ass.

Only dipshits like them and judging by those giving them praise in this thread I would say that it further proves my point.

Jesus, Nips, don't hold back - tell us how you really feel....

Certainly wasn't expecting THAT... now I HAVE seen everything...:D

My favorite Priest songs:

1. The Sentinel (absolute perfection in every way)
2. Breaking the Law (was a cool rebellion song when I was 11, lol)
3. The Ripper
4. Electric Eye
5. Heading out to the Highway
6. Hell Bent for Leather
7. Blood Red Skies
8. Evening Star (pop song, but its enjoyable to listen to)
9. Before the Dawn (their only real ballad, they even did this great)
10. Turbo Lover (the ultimate techno-metal song)

Best albums: Defenders of the Faith, Painkiller, Killing Machine, Sad Wings of Destiny

Immediately realizing I can "miss" nothing I've never held dear...

...I clicked-onto youtube to review the first two songs renard ruse of the Goat Turd Tribe listed as his/her two favorites to investigate whether the world will suffer from the demise of a head-banger band.

I am happy to report that life, indeed, will go on without care...

What's your problem? Why the hostility?

You were long ago tagged a member of the Goat Turd Tribe by none other than the alt poster Nubian God...

...why the amnesia?

And that "his/her" part?

I was just giving you the benefit of either doubt...

Ah, I missed that I guess.

Thanks for the consideration.

Wasn't aware they were still around. Sort of liked 'em two decades ago.
