Will the GOP allow Trump to get the nomination?

It's early, but his numbers are sinking. The man just can't keep his pie hole shut. One day he'll act presidential and the next act like a buffoon. Either he's getting terrible advice, is ignoring his advisers, or is too arrogant to listen to them.

The reason is irrelevant. If he continues on the same path he GOP will lose in November and possibly a majority in Congress.

It's going to be an interesting convention to say the least.

Youre so fucking clueless I wonder how you breathe.

The GOP cant beat Trump with nobody, and nobody is all they got. But I imagine youre sitting on your ass wishing on a star for Mitt.

Hillary is doomed. Its okay if you vote for her, every Jew will; niggers gotta loot, Jews gotta go quietly to the gas chambers and vote for Hillary.

You call me clueless, then say Hillary is doomed? You're out of your diseased mind.

Now go slither back under your rock with your buddies Throb and Disgustipated.

I miss the old JBJ.

I browse your posts because you sometimes say such interesting things drawn from your educ. background & wisdom.

But now all I read is "nigger this, nigger that".

Kiss my old fat ass, there aint nuthin about me you miss. I own who I am, unlike 95% of the posters here. No nigger nowhere gotta wonder if I have fangs or what I got up my skirt. Miles is headed to a camp to make I:heart: SARAH PALIN teeshirts.

In the restaurant at breakfast our server said of me, HE'S SO PLEASANT AND LOVES EVERYONE. My wife laughed so hard she fell outta the booth, I owned the accusation.

You think the GOP will fare better in November if they do a switctheroo at the convention? Then they'll have a whole new crap sandwich on their plate. It's not like it would shut The Donald up.

I'm poised to wager the House will need a new Speaker after November. Paul Ryan's district voted for Trump, only Wisconsin district to support Trump.

Because Ryan is toast or because the house will flip? ...or both?

Hillary is doomed.

This is true except in 2020 not 2016.

Clinton has 2016 in the bag but only because the repubs gave it to her. She is going to be a 1-termer after the dust settles in the GOP camp over the 2016 debacle and they get back on track.

Also good as 2016 will be for the dems the 2018 midterms will be terrible.

Dems need to enjoy the victories of 2016 while they can, get a liberal on the SC and then batten down the hatches, they are in for some very rough election cycles afterwards.

Here's how it's going to be. Trump is a goner. Hillary is President Elect, just waiting for Inauguration day.

The real worry is how bad Trump will pull down the House and Senate elections. If Trump draws a big turn out, a few GOP House seats are in danger.

If the GOP dumps Trump, his elite corps of angry white guys will stay home and Congress goes to the Dems. They aren't going to let that happen.

All they want right now is to survive. Trump will go back to doing whatever it is he does. The GOP will challenge Hillary in 2020, but loose again. They may have a chance in 2024, but it will be with someone we've never heard of before.

The GOP can't keep Trump from getting the nomination. They tried that already.

America is in the grips of a revolution the elites cant see. All, both Democrats and GOP, are like the French nobility and clergy of 1793. They sense Trump is like Napoleon or Hitler or Franco or Eva Peron. But fascists always replace incompetent socialists, a fascist is simply a socialist with some brains and priorities.

It's going to be a long summer and opinions are not firm yet and there are still potential shoes to drop all over the place.

;)

To borrow an old phrase...

It's the ECONOMY stupid.

They absolutely can prevent him from getting the nomination.

The question isn't can they...it's will they.

Everyone is predicting that Trump will lose, especially the Romney wing of the party, and they may be right. On the other hand should they deny him the nomination, it will anger the Trump base so much that it will result in a landslide loss, while now it only looks like a close loss, with lots of things yet to happen between now and the election that could move it one way or the other.

I'm not so sure the GOP would lose in a landslide if the dumped Trump (pun intended). Some of his diehard supporters might sit out the election, but not nearly as many as those who might not vote if he's the candidate.

One thing is certain: he can't keep his mouth shut he's his own worst enemy. I don't think he's wired to act presidential just like Obama isn't wired for leadership.

Hillary is a horrible candidate, but Trump is worse. He's so bad that she could beat him. She isn't saying much and doesn't have to - Trump will beat himself.

Clarice Feldman has written a thoughtful piece this morning.

;) ;)

In the second half of the article, she reminds us of the trends for historical early summer leads by candidates verses the actual final outcome...

That's why I speak of shoes yet to drop. Future events may be his greatest asset overcoming all perceived flaws.

The Beast could be indicted by the DOJ and still win the election.

At this point I find both candidates repugnant.

I have a big problem voting for the candidate I despise the least.
