More than a little truth there. I had more hassles with Canadian Customs that any other nation I've visited. (I wanted to know why so many non-English speaking Quebecois customs agents were stationed in Windsor, ON?)

But you have a new PM who wants to flood your nation with the flotsam and jetsam of humanity. There's bound to be some spill-over.

Oh no Jimi, wrong answer. These hassles long predate 9/11. But I will buy into our customs guys getting a little zealous post 9/11. They only time I remember US Customs getting seriously zealous previously was in the two weeks before the 4th of July back when your nation still trusted it's citizens with fireworks. You chaps were actually kind enough to let US Customs set up on the Canadian side for fear that the traffic backup might cause the Peace Bridge to collapse.

Actually, Scargill-boy.... I travel to the Excited States frequently, and on the whole, their people are often better behaved than ours.

I EXPECT arrogance from theirs, and frequently find humour. I expect courtesy from OUR guys, and get a cheaper version of "gun-toting cowboy" at times..
