Will Democrats & liberal Republicans pay for gun control laws in 2014/16 elections?

I thought this gun control baloney had been put back on the shelf a couple months back, but it appears they really are going to push ahead with it.

America is gun country to its very core. Gun rights are our national religion. In the past politicians have paid a high electoral price at the polls for tampering with Americans' sacred right to bear arms.

I think there will be a major backlash in the 2014 elections and also possibly in 2016 for those politicians who support these gun grabbing laws. History shows this to be the case. Pro-gun Americans will turn out in unprecedented numbers and vote these politicians out.

What shouldn't lost on voters come next time is that 16 Republicans made it possible to continue the assault on our Second Amendment rights. Hopefully their primaries will be painful.

The GOP has lost its way. The dears think that Moms & Minorities will embrace them if they become Democrat Lite.

While this would be a better plan than the current game plan it's really frightening that Republicans/Conservatives are too stupid to see what they are doing wrong and that it's NOT this.

I've said it many times, Al Capone and Bugsy Moran is the model for American politics. Politics in America is the struggle to control the booze, broads, bureaucrats, and bux of Chicago. No one gets in politics to do good, they get in politics to do well.

I'm still trying to figure out what the fuck you guys are hunting that you need high capacity magazines and shit.

How does debating a bill to keep guns out of the hands of felons and dangerously mentally ill people assault your second amendment rights? You guys are stumbling over your own narrative now. Guns don't kill people, people kill people, right? Great so we agree - let's not let criminals and crazies walk into any ol' Dick's Sporting Goods and buy guns.

Unlikely Renard. America wants this.

What's happening is that people like Ted Cruz and Rush Limbaugh are talking about this bill in terms of a federal gun registry and confiscation. Those things aren't part of the bill in any way and they're not part of the debate at all right now. They're lying their asses off to rally the masses of low-information conservatives such as VetteRuse because they'll believe anything.

Its more bullshit.

Amputate trigger fingers of all felons you catch with guns. Remove one finger for every conviction. H.L. Mencken came up with the idea almost a century ago. Mencken suggested that fewer fingers reduce crime, across the board.

Someone will invent a Stephen Hawking style pistol with a strap-on grip and a trigger tube you breathe into. Actually I call dibs on that idea.

No.

Your representative is never the problem, someone else's is, and even if he was part of the problem, the other guy is from the wrong party...

That is a canard.

The Constitution mentions militias, but not a single type of game, or hunting.

The weapons are for one reason, one reason only and the Left knows it. They will condone the violence of strikers, the violence of Bill Ayers, the looting mobs of color, minority flash mobs, the beatings of conservatives at Tea Parties, the rioting of students and the rapes of OWS, but they are terrified of the idea that their opposition is armed and willing to stand up to their bullying tactics and methods of intimidation.

They know for a FACT, that we are arming up to stop the tyranny of good intentions...

;) ;)

... not to kill Bambi.

The only reason the Left is now focused on Guns and Gays is this:

Wells Fargo Reports 28% Jump in 401K Borrowing; Reflections on the Economy

In spite of the alleged recovery, in spite of falling unemployment numbers, and in spite of a stock market boom, Wells Fargo 401(k) Loans Jump 28% as Older Workers Borrow.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-...-k-loans-jump-28-as-older-workers-borrow.html

...

401K borrowing provides more evidence the economy is not as good as presented and that people are struggling in their jobs, much closer to the edge of oblivion than the Fed or Obama wants to admit.

The borrowing surge happened in the 4th quarter, before the increase in payroll taxes this year, so expect matters to get worse. And if for any reason those 401K borrowers lose their jobs, they are going to be in deep trouble tax-wise.

What education?

If anyone in America was educated we wouldn't waste our lives quarreling over niggers and queers and guns. If we were educated we'd be interested in prosperity and opportunity and the commonwealth of all. Maybe the education we buy keeps us dolts and victims.

Some politicians want to take mild action to keep guns away from convicted criminals and homicidal crazy people. No, I don't think the American public will be moved to vote out people based on this.

And just how is this going to come about?

You still haven't explained how the 100% background check is going to work without a national registry and BATFE inspections of homes in order to enforce the law.

You also haven't explained who gets to determine which people are listed as disallowed for being crazy and what their remedy is to regain their rights. Do we go on the Medical Professional's word, or is it only to be those who are court ordered for psychiatric care? Visit a Pshrink and lose your rights forever? Ever took Prozac - lose your right forever?

You shout about the loophole quite well, but you still haven't explained how you can possibly close it.

Do you throw a father in prison for 2 or for 10 years for lending his son a rifle at deer camp without first completing a background check?
