"WikiLeaks leak classified report on the EU military intervention against "refugee boats" in Libya and the Mediterranean."

"EUNAVFOR MED - Operation SOPHIA" - Six Monthly Report: June, 22nd to December, 31st 2015
https://wikileaks.org/eu-military-refugees/

"Today, 17 February 2016, WikiLeaks is releasing the classified report about the first six month of Operation SOPHIA, the EU military intervention against "refugee boats" in Libya and the Mediterranean.
……
The report presses the responsible EU bodies to help speed up the process of forming a 'reliable' government in Libya that in return is expected to 'invite' EU forces to operate within their Territorial Waters (Phase 2B) and later even give permission to extend the EU military operations onshore (phase 3).".

WikiLeaks report sheds light on UK's role in militarizing refugee situation & colonizing Libya'. Dan Glazebrook
https://www.rt.com/op-edge/332781-wikileaks-refugee-operations-uk/

"Britain lobbied hard for Italy’s refugee search and rescue operation to be closed down, which was the beginning of mass drowning in the Mediterranean,
So Britain actually deliberately triggered this scourge of drowning in the Mediterranean, I believe, as an opportunity to create the pretext to then militarize the situation… under the guise of a war against people smuggling.

And this report is really interesting as well in what it sheds on the recent news from this week about the formation of a unity government in Libya
It was precisely to lend a fig leave of legitimacy for increased EU military operations against Libya. So, this also has to be seen in the context of the ongoing colonial operations against Libya."

I recognize Naomi Klein's theory in this, but at their own "expense"? (see previous massive influx of reffugees) Or was that just "accidental", and the deliberatenness came only afterwards?

Not flaming intended on my part; I was only hoping that someone might comment or shed a light on all these. But no one's posting…

Over here, the story line is that the President won the war in Libya and that there is no further need to pay any attention to it.

;) ;)

Same with Iraq. The President has already proclaimed victory, spiked the ball, and took his ball home...

Thanks, AJ.

Gosh, but that's even more confusing for a layperson like me.
But one thing's for sure: Public's perception of this entire reffugee situation will probably change a bit after Wikileak's leak of these two secret documents.

I kind of doubt it. The last discussion that I had with the more liberal folk here that was anywhere near "substantive" they really didn't care about the plight of any people in Obama's wake, the whole sum of what they had to say was, those people are not civilized, they are savages who just want to kill each other, so let them. I think now that they are more focused on bringing in moar refugees than they are with the basic problem because, as I alluded to before, what problem? We won...
