i would love some advice on convincing my wife to try being more "open" i would love to watch her with another man or woman any suggestions?

brian, welcome to lit! my suggestions:
1. check out a few of the linked threads towards the end of this post about 3rd parties, perhaps particularly this one.
2. anticpate your wife's views on sexuality outside of a romantic relationship or your marriage. be prepared for her thinking this is a prelude to you wanting to have sex with other women.
3. if your relationship isn't already strong and marked by open communication, start working on that right now. a threesome is a fantastically efficient way to kill an ailing relationship b/c it's very hard to avoid jealousy. since jealousy is powered by insecurity, a healthy relationship will help either party manage any stressors that might arise.
i'm sure i've missed some stuff here, but happily i'm also sure someone will be along to cover 'em. :>
