I have seen 'amputations' in fetishes listings; have not further researched the topic thought. I doubt that reference to the process (although even that is possible). Just dropping a note that it seems fully plausible that some woman might be turned on by obviously handicapped.

Sorry for slow responses, I like the idea of someone in a wheelchair perhaps, originally I thought of it as a one time thing but it can definitely work as a fetish of hers or the story could be how she developed that fetish.

I was also thinking it could be a mental handicap like autism.

The more I think on this idea the more I like it. You're right that this scenario doesn't get much coverage.

Maybe the wife gets close to the man originally out of pity but as she gets to know him it becomes something different. If I wrote it I would leave out the fetish aspect out of it unless it slowly develops as she gets to know the man.

I'm thinking that the man either is in a wheelchair or has had one or both legs amputated. The wife and husband are very active, running marathons, rock climbing etc. The man used to be and is trying to get back to it despite his limitations. If he is an amputee perhaps she is at first a bit repulsed by it but does hide it from him. As they get to know each other it becomes less of an issue then becomes not big deal. They become intimate and the story goes on from there. I can see a multi-part story that could go in many directions from here.

Another idea has the man and couple as part of a group that is very active like above however because of an illness or accident the friend ends up disabled. He is depressed and the wife takes it upon herself to get him back to his old self, with her husbands support and help. As he regains his confidence she starts to become attracted to him...
