Why?

On one of my threads a person asked why I post my little snippets or views into my life. Let me try to explain.

I am an observer of people. I watch and I notice. For some reason, maybe my training or maybe just my personality I can actually see while looking.

I am also one of those people with a strange sense of humor. People and their actions usually amuse me. I can usually find the humor in almost any situation. (This does drive my wife nuts.) There are very few things that get me upset.

Humor on the other hand is an anodyne, a source of comfort and a source of health. Here as in work if I can make a person smile then I have helped that person. Maybe I have brought just that little bit of light into their lives.

Maybe too I can teach someone something. Nothing ground breaking, I'm neither that vain or that egotistical. No, nothing large but maybe I can teach them something. A different way to look at a situation or even a recipe.

That being said I will continue posting these little snippets or views into my own life until others start to become tired of them and ask me to stop.

I agree! Don't ever fuckin' stop. I appreciate your stories and your POV. I particularly like the stories of you triumphing at work over the forces of eee-vill and mediocrity.

I'll add my PLEASE DON'T STOP to the list. Often your posts are the reason I make time to come here, at least over the last year or so.

You make me smile, you make me laugh, you make me shake my head, but most of all, you help me hold on to a positive outlook. I love that you share your views, and your wisdom.

Times are very hard for me at the moment. I'm battling a severe case of depression. My entire life seems to be falling apart. I came here because Lit is one of my lifelines, and I desperately need one. In the same vein, YOU are one of my lifelines, Cat, and I'm holding on with all I've got.
