Because literotica's audience is so amazingly diverse, it breaks you out of you echo chamber.
Sexuality crosses all boundaries of personal differences, but no one's interests are confined only to sex. We all have ideas and opinions and experiences beyond sex. Erotica may have brought us all to this place, but we have brought more than our own personal kinks with us. Here, I can gain perspective from those I agree with and those I don't.

The right wing fonts post political threads on the GB rather than the politics board because they get more attention on here. All their little minions/alts post on GB while the politics board tends to lean left and contains more factual information, something that they cant comprehend. It is pretty simple.

No, just some of the old timers, (not indication of actual age in that comment just longevity on the board) did not agree with the new and improved political arena and wanted to keep things as they were, so they keep posting them here. Read the title, you know if it is political or not. I tend to keep my opinion to myself, I learned that lesson a while ago, on another board. I am much happier talking about other things.

I agree on the whole, keeping political opinions private. It seems like too much trouble to broadcast them. I don't like arguing

I kinda like to argue (I would insert a really cool smiley here but photobucket and I have come to odds ) I just prefer arguing about stupid little shit that doesn't really mean anything. I afford everyone their opinions. Despite the fact that mine may be the polar opposite, we can still be friends. But look what happens here on the board if you are passionate about your line of politics. No one argues the posts, they just devolve and make it personal...Attack the post and not the poster! *steps off of my soapbox*

More recently (into this century) was once a great site, SensibleErection.com (now gone) with many great pr0n links and discussions, including political. They tried spinning the latter off as SensibleElection.com (also gone). Yes, pr0n and politix are a great fit.

I appreciate a good debate. I wish the people running for president would answer the questions they are asked with only what they would do. Have you ever noticed that instead of doing that they say what their opponent wont do. That should be stopped. It is their opinion what their opponent will do.
