Why would a “great economy” be experiencing record homelessness?

Trump lies about everything.

December 16, 2019

As of Dec. 10, his 1,055th day in office, Trump had made
15,413 false or misleading claims

https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...as-made-false-or-misleading-claims-over-days/

Why is Trump promoting a war against homeless people ?

There is money in it, for Trump, and his wealthy campaign fund contributors.

Trump wants to re-purpose U.S. Department of Housing
and Urban Development funding- floods of federeral funds
given to Trump's supporters for building prison camps for
children, operating them, guarding them. Private prisons
owned by privately held corporations, kept immigrant adults
and teens, and collected handsome profits. Before Trump
began to persecute those seeking asylum in the USA, the
private prisons lost millions. Prisons are now a growth industry,
despite the decrease in crime. With the immigrants seeking assylum
stuck waiting at the Mexican border, the source of prisoners is
drying up. Criminalizing homelessness will create a new class
of prisoners, and add a supply for profiteers to exploit.

Shutting down subsidized housing for the poverty stricken
would free up real eastate for developement, and opportunities
for profit. More half empty urban luxury buildings owned by
foreign interests are needed to contribute cash to USA treasury,
since Trump is sinking America into massive debt. The fuckery
committed by international real estate "developers"are enabled
to continue to fill the bank accounts of Ivanka and her husband
Jared.

Just think of this- Obama cut private prisons out of the loop.

Because how well the economy is doing has fuck all to do with how much social and economic equity (what the left fantasizes is the benchmark of economic success) there is.

You and the other lefties need to get a clue wrap it up in a reality check and realize just because 60 million folks are sucking it right now doesn't change the fact that 200 million of us are doing better and 50 million of us are flat out fuckin' killing it right now....it has quite literally NEVER been so good for the upper middle class and the rich. Ever.
