Why? Why? Why?

Somewhat similar to a WTF thread, begin a sentence with the word "why" in search of life's more incomprehensible issues:

Why do parents insist their children wear bicycle helmets yet will not wear them themselves on family bike trips?

Lol

Why do people insist on crossing the road 3 feet away from a pedestrian crossing?

And why ask for a skimmed milk hot chocolate - with cream?????

why would the parents need to wear them? im assuming the parents know how to ride a bike?

why would you assume that knowing how to ride a bike is going to stop you falling off, or being knocked down?

because adults have better balance than children and also know how to brace their fall so that they don't sustain serious head damage.

Why do people jockey to park their cars close to the gym entrance doors when they go to get exercise?

which leads neatly to -
Why drive to the gym then spend half an hour on a treadmill, when if you'd run or walked to the gym you'd have done that bit already?

Sorry - i really don't want to make this a big thing - but accidents happen to all ages. And from my experience, if you are on a bike that's hit by a car, you haven't got a hope of bracing yourself. If you care enough about your kids to protect their heads, care enough to protect their parents too.

Because I like to ogle the women wearing spandex at the gym, and there's just not as many of them on the sidewalk. Makes the 30 min much more pleasant. :D

Sorry, just had to explain that...
