In no particular order:

auto bail-out position
Bain
47% remark
Mormon
Delayed income tax release
Unanswered attack ads all summer
Poor VP selection

In short, a terribly flawed candidate.

Republicans didn't lose?

They didn't lose everything. But yeah, lose they did.

Why the GOP failed, not just Romney:

- The war on Women
- Shortsighted immigration policy
- 33 votes to repeal so-called ObamaCare
- Failure to remain true to conservative principles.
- Confusing 'tax code loopholes' with 'new taxes' (corporate jets - really??)
- Grover Norquist
- Not knowing how to get out the vote

... the list goes on

I think the "War on Women" is overrated. Married women went for Romney by a significant margin. Is the gender somehow different because of the ring? I don't think so.

I also disagree about the Obamcare repeal effort.

The rest of your list is reasonable.

The GOP lost 2 senate seats and 6 house seats and did not get the White House. What did all the losers have in common? All were staunch anti-ObamaCare.

As for the War on Woman - Master Yoda said it best

oh, and in case you missed it:

Murdoch (Indiana) was an idiot and everyone knew Angus King (Maine) was going to take the seat as an Independent as soon as he announced.

He was extremely popular as Governor.

Having said that, yes. If you have 10 Senate seats to defend, and 23 possible takeaways, and get the result you did, major failure.

The biggest loser of the night was Texas Senator John Cornyn, Republican Senatorial Campaign Chairman.

So the Republicans lost, not Romney. Got it. 'nuff said.

There are plenty of reasons Romney lost. From my perspective, one of the reasons was his statement he would keep parts of ObamaCare, such as keeping adults up to age 26 on the parents' policy and doing away with insurance companies citing pre-existing conditions.
I was just about convinced Romney was almost conservative enough for me when I heard this. And then I was thinking, "Romney, you are one stupid, stupid fuck."
Here's why the analysis before the election, and many of the political cartoons, were so off the mark: In the run-up to Nov. 6, many of these clowns were reporting Romney was moving to the center. If he was, it was from the left.
For crying out loud, the guy pulled in 2.5 million fewer votes than McCain. I'll bet he lost most of them with his brilliant announcement about ObamaCare.

His pedo-like smarmy smile was enough to lose the women.

Of all color.

Agreed, unbelievably bad campaign for a party with more money than God and a reputation for kicking ass in tough political fights.

This reads like a script for a Republican phone sex operator.

Have your credit card and a towel handy.

America lost.

Romney would have changed everything!

Now we have nothing but locusts, pestilence, and mayhem to look forward to.

Thanks, voters!

The voters cast half a million MORE votes for Democrats in The House than Republicans. The Republicans got more seats solely because of gerrymandering. If you call that winning, then you probably are also in love with your hooker.

Funny how that works.

This actually makes a lot of sense.

You know, Karl Rove is always the first guy at the table to say, "Hey, I think that stripper digs me."
