- Half the green energy loan companies went bankrupt when only 3/29 did.
- An unelected board in Obamacare will tell people what treatments they can have even though there's no such board that does that in the slightest.
- Dodd-Frank picks a list of banks as too big to fail, even though it does not in the slightest.
- Obamacare is going to cause 20 million people to lose healthcare - WTF??!?!
- There are 23 million unemployed people. No not at all.
- Obamacare cuts $716 billion from Medicare. Nope, total lie. Even Ryan says Romney is lying (just ask him if the Ryan plan cut Medicare!).
- Electricity prices have gone up because of Obama. LOL they've gone up less than 1% per year, lower than the rate of inflation... They're rising far slower than any time in a while. And under Obama its cost increase has plummeted.
- Romney said his tax plan would not be a cut for the rich. Nobody thinks that. Not even the most fucked up RW circle jerker on lit.

Just my .02...take it as you will, but here are some non-$ related things to consider:
The Fundamentalist Right-Wing Conservatives who are now supporting Romney because he received the nomination, are the same Fundamentalists who, just a short time ago, considered Mormonism to be a cult and decidedly "non-Christian". Yet, suddenly, they are silent now...very interesting.
The Conservatives of the Republican Party would happily see places like Literotica and every other bastion of free sexual expression utterly destroyed because of it's immorality in their eyes. Anything that doesn't fit into their very tightly controlled, strictly limited view of sexual expression is anthema to them. Despite the repeated examples of their hypocrisy (affairs, secret gay sex relations, etc.)
Liberty is fine, under the conservative view, as long as it is their view of liberty...as long as you don't want freedom to follow your own path. If you're Christian and sexually repressed, you're good to go, but Heaven forbid you don't believe in the bible and want to engage in something other than missionary sex in the privacy of your own bedroom.
Now...don't get me wrong..I have some serious issues with the extreme liberalism and the welfare state that many Democrats want to see continue. I would rather have choice in how I provide charity and not have to support those who make no effort to be a contributing member of society. I want things to change in terms of federally funded aid to people who are physically capable of working but make no effort to do so. I want the size of federal programs reduced and the tax money that supports them returned to my pocket so I can choose which charitable organizations to support in my local community. I don't want to bail out banks and car companies and other corporations who take advantage of loose regulation to make poor decisions and overpay CEOs while underpaying the labor force.
You can get lost in the rhetoric and BS both parties are spewing this time of year, or you can take an objective look at some of the fundamental differences in doctrine and decide what you can and can't live with. I, personally, do not want to elect anyone who would turn this country into a Theocracy if they had half a chance, so the bulk of the Republican Party is simply off the table, despite some good ideas and policies....if only they could embrace the true sense of Freedom and let others live and love as they choose...then I could possibly get behind some of their candidates.
