They don't talk. They talk over you(me). They disappear when you really need to talk. They pretend they don't hear you cry. Pretend to be asleep when you need them most. Expect you to be ready willing and able to 'go' when they desire it. Don't respect your needs. It's ALL them. You/me takes backseat. They think they're superior because they have the shlong (well, 'scuse me... isn't that what a dildo is for????). They snore. Their feet smell. They have bad morning breath (at least I have a drink or 'something' to disguise the taste, sheesh). They purve on other girls with little or no respect for you. If we do it, we get a swift kick up the bum!!! They're constantly jealous of our male friends, yet we have to put up with their female 'acquaintances'. Yeah right, I wasn't born yesterday. They're power hungry. They can't stand a girl/hornyvixen(I hate the word woman) with virtues. They lie. They lead you on. They swear their undying love knowing and ultimately using it to their advantage that we are suckers for that crap(well me anyway).

You know, I wrote a knee-jerk rant like this about women a (long) while ago on another forum. I think I excluded 'they have the schlong' and 'they snore' though, but the rest I listed as 'typically female' wasn't all that far off from the terrible 'typically male' things you mention.

I was forever marked as a sexist misgonyst asshole and banned from that board.

I give you more benifit of doubt than they gave me though. We all need to vent now and then.

My experiences with women have generally been unpleasant. I've been laughed at, ignored, forgotten about, insulted and prejudged more times than I care to think about.

That doesn't stop me from liking them, or looking forward to a future with one of them.

I had a close friendship with a woman implode several weeks ago. I will admit I fucked up. I didn't understand her well enough to give her what she wanted.

However, she is not entirely innocent. When we started our relationship we agreed to two things, to communicate clearly to one another, and to forgive one another.

Several months ago she gave me a choice about something. Actually, she wanted me to do a certain thing, but gave it as a choice, thinking that I understood well enough that I would do the 'right thing'

I didn't and chose the 'wrong thing'. So much for communicating clearly.

Then she broke rule 2. She did not forgive me for my mistake.

When I tried to present my side of the story, she wouldn't listen. She had made up her mind that everything I had done in our relationship was so I could gain control over her. End of story, fuck off.

Not a happy story. But I'm not going to let one woman poison my perception of the rest. I'll take them one at a time, and judge each on their own actions, not the actions of the others before them.

As opposed to women who remember every little thing you've ever done wrong in the last century, and will bring it up year after year. They will tell you what you want to hear when your talking and not mean a word of it.

She wasn't threatening to go out and drive a stake through some guys heart. Well I’m offended. Doormouse would never be allowed to get away with that kind of stuff had she been talking about any other group of people, but as long as it applies to white men, it’s okay. We’re supposed to grin and bear it, because, after all, we really are a bunch of ignorant, insesitive, selfish, ball-scratching baboons, aren’t we?

Go ahead and read her screed again substituing the word “woman” for “man”. Can you even imagine someone posting something like that? They’d be chased off the board by both men and women. I don’t care how badly you’ve been hurt. Have the common sense and decency not to take your hurt out on other people who’ve had nothing to do with your problems. And if you’re serious about solving your problems, then have a look at your own part in creating them. Relationships are two way streets. This helpless victim attitude is just unseemly and false, and very irritating.

I don’t know what’s happened to this board, but it’s become a regular hen party. The women seem to have closed ranks into some sort of gyno-clique, the men seem to be mostly gone, and even the women with ideas have shut up and we’re left with these valueless discussions of our favorite colors and our personal lives and now this, the ultimate womans’ group topic: the general shittiness of men.

I have no animosity towards doormouse, and I’m sorry she’s had such a bad time of it in her relationships. If she wants to rant about the man in her life, then that’s her prerogative. But I resent being tarred with the same brush and then being expected to take it with a smile

As i said. I did. Posted an equally confrontational generalisation vent about womankind in general as a juvenile reaction to how I'd been treated by two women I knew.

And I was chased to Xanadu and back for it. Nuff said.

Not that I really took offense to Doormouse's rant the way the Dr did. People say stuff when upset. Imo no biggie.
