Why do I always get the fucked up online sluts with serious mental issues? This is so unfair

(Not talking about a regular here..)

Because we're all fucked up?

Also something to consider: I attract whackjobs all the time. Not just romantically, either. For the longest time, I figured I just had bad judgment when it came to making friends, but I've about decided there must be something about me that draws them to me. Maybe it means I'm a nut, too, or maybe I just have a sign over my head that everyone BUT me sees that says "PICK ME!"

I dunno. Something to think about. I'm trying to go by the idea that if I don't like what kind of fish I'm catching, I should change the bait. It's hard, though, when you don't know what it is.

I think that the really fucked up people are more attracted to online relationships because they can hide their fucked up-ness longer.

That is not saying, however, that all people in online relationships, are fucked up. So put down the rocks.

One big reason I've never had an online relationship. Like gracie said I know it's not all of them. But it usually takes a lot longer to see crazy that way. I like to know what kind of crazy I'm dealing with up front.

From all my dealings with people, I've come to the conclusion that most people are fucked up in some form or fashion and are desperately insecure about it and hiding it from the world.

Personally, I blame it on the lack of support networks. We're a social animal, not particularly acclimated to the kind of solo living we get in western civilization. So instead of having a network to help carry us through our issues, we're all floating on our own little islands, desperate for anyone to actually give a shit about if we live or die.

This leads to all sorts of self-reinforcing insecurities.

'Cause believe me, from the number of life stories and true confessions I've gotten from random people I've met all over the damn country, it's not just online. It's everywhere.

people seem to like crazy.. it's more interesting.
