Why is this pandemic so politicized?

I know why it was politicized to begin with: Trump was counting on a low jobless rate to propel him to re-election. Faced with a pandemic that would require job-killing measures to contain it, he reacted, as he usually does, like a toddler, and denied the existence of the problem.

But why is it still politicized now?!

It would have been politicized with or without Twitler. The good old USA has a social norm that encourages people to refuse to do anything that anyone in any semblance of authority even suggests you might want to do, even if it's for your own good. That's why BoBo thinks everything short of absolute laissez-faire anarchy = communism. And that attitude would have kicked in no matter who was in charge.

I'm not a laissez-faire anarchist just because I reject your visions of a totalitarian state that wipes everyone's ass, makes sure equal life outcomes for all are hard and nobody hurts anyone's fee fees. Especially along the intersectional victimhood continuum.

I'm a liberal, not an anarchist. Learn the difference comrade.

It is still politicized now for the same reason it was in the first place.

Never let a good crisis go to waste, and the power hungry control freaks seized this opportunity to control.

And control they did....man did the control freaks go full bore on this one, still are.

Why is anything politicized? To create a "us verses them" mentality. It is how Bin Laden beat us. It is how Putin is beating us. It is how Trump is destroying the fabric of America.

Because the majority of people who have faith and trust in institutions align on party lines. They also happen to be the group that applies better critical thinking when it comes to analyzing data....but that also is because they have more faith and trust in institutions.

If your entire goal is diminish power from those who have expertise, then you are suceptible to those who don't have expertise.

We have a lot of uneducated folks in the USA. They are easily to manipulate By both political parties.

Not everything should be political....just ask the Russians after 1917 or the Chinese in the late 1960's about what happens when you overly politicize all aspects of living.

The educated know this already, what science is vs. all the noise.

^^ runs around calling anyone who disagrees or questions it as "fascist traitors".

Because it was a political act

Boom.....economic suicide/assassination.

And it's still playing out....Joe Biden wants to spend 20 TRILLION a month for 4 years!!!

And he's going to.

What a bizarre person you are.

You mean just like their progeny the "progressive" leftist are trying to do in the USA right now??

They had "progress" after those "mostly peaceful protest" too. :D

No, I don't mean that....that is incorrect.

Ok...but it's not incorrect.

(D)'s want to badger and berate anyone in society who clings to old habits, ideas, customs and culture.

Allowing a centralized authority to have all the social and economic control needed so that our society can "progress" into a more equitable future for all!! With social justice!

They're fuckin' Maoist. :D

Bullshit lies are not political acts, they’re just bullshit lies.

Why are you an apologist for this obvious crime against humanity? Acceptance of evil could be interpreted as complicity in evil.
The pandemic was an intentional act. No one could look at the totality of the event and conclude otherwise.

And you honestly believe that his opponents weren't trying to make it bigger than it was, and exploited it because the president won't win an election in an economic slowdown?

Absolutely. Nobody in the country including you has any good reason to believe what you're describing.

Deplorables don't need evidence to reach a conclusion when it suits their agenda.

Exhibit A: The 2020 Presidential election fraud claims.

Of course actual evidence like the traitor in chief's recorded statements, "Grab me by the pussy", "Russia if you're listening", "I would like you to do is a favor, though", "I just want to find 11,780 votes", etc, isn't good enough for the Deplorables.

SAD!!!
