Why is the chat so atrocious?

The chat connection is AWFUL and it's not my Internet connection either, it's been a problem with multiple people for ages . I suggest someone does something about it already.

I totally agree sometimes you can go a week without connection issues some nights your stuck on connecting for hours. Its 2017 this chat should be working better

I agree, I can't connect to the chat and it's very annoying. When I try, it just continues to say "connecting".

Generally Works Well For Me

I access strictly via my desktop and chrome browser. I connect to my router via wired ethernet. Seems to take a lot of the problems out of the way.

It's bizarre but if I'm trying to get in around this time of the night it seems not to let me in, but if I wait another 30 minutes after this it works fine again. Almost every single night it's like this, so strange.

That you are initially trying to log in when the system is backing itself up. When I was working on LANs and PCs the network admin would always restrict logins when the backup was going on because it would slow up the backup process.
