Why is it that I will go off and spend $100 on a new coat without a second thought, but I spent 2 days stressing if I should spend $3 to rent a movie on Amazon?

Not due on Netflix until November of 2016. It might be worth the five bucks.

I have this affliction too....what is it? I would avoid a pothole at all costs but leap into the Grand Canyon with a grin as big as mountains. It's a resounding WTF for me honestly.

Example...I bought a brand new projector for my home theater a few weeks ago, a pricey item, nary a thought.....but now, I'm needing a new winter jacket for riding and I fancy one that I can't get readily in the US. Even with import and customs etc, the cost is still under a few bills USD and I'm quibbling and searching for alternatives.

Well...make that under 4 bills. But dig this....it's making more sense to me to travel to to the UK to get the jacket I want, rather than simply ordering it on eBay. The trip of course will drain my pockets far more....but here I am, making the plans. At least it will be an adventure. I could drive an accountant to the looney bin.

Download Shobox on your phone. I just watched Inside Out for free with my kids.

Not too long ago, I bought a really fancy electric toothbrush. But I still buy the cheep toothpaste. :D

Did you need a coat? A film is a luxury, a coat can be a necessity.

I'm guessing wearing pretty and new clothes make you feel good.

Did watching the movie make you feel good?

I guess I sort of needed a new coat. My old one is fine for me, but I don't know. I don't really get excited about clothes and stuff like that.

And yes, watching the movie made me feel good. :)

$400 for a jacket!

Everybody does this. This issue is perceived value. Spending three dollars for a cup of coffee is outrageous. Or at least it used to be. :D

Spending $3 for an HD, wide screen TV would be a hell of a deal.

We all intuitively know what things should cost, and there is a natural defense mechanism against "being taken" or acting wastefully.

Inside Out. And I just checked, it was $4.99, so I guess that explains why I hesitated for so long. :D

I hated the movie, so there's that. Too many negative emotions, can't believe that was supposed to be a good kid movie.
