Can somebody answer this please , if possible at all? Why is it that all of the fitness buffs, and health nuts i meet at the college athletic center, its open to students and normal people, who totally work out every day, and talk like its their religion, as their leaving to go back to work etc, i see most of them soon as they get out the doors start to smoke, t kinda defeats the purpose of what they just did, isnt it? Can i get some thoughts on this please
 
I think they are more concerned with the visual results on the workout.

They are thinkin of the outside.
not the inside?

I used to do the same.
Slave away in aerobics classes,walk out and light a smoke.

I realised how stupid that was and gave up aerobics.

geesh, i dunno about people, i screwed up and stopped working out like i used to, i regret it , and its hard to get back into that routine

anyway, how cool do I look on the stairmaster with a pack of Camels rolled up in my t-shirt sleeve :cool:

true but it kills everything else, you want an appetite decreaser just resist the urg to eat more, just if you lift weights get some protein in your system,, before it eats away at the build up of protein in your muscles
 
I asked a friend of mine that same question and he said he worked out to keep up with the non-smokers who don't work out.
 
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

smoking does defeat the purpose...aerobics is about getting oxygen into the body. cigs have carbon monoxide, which deprives the brain of oxygen, but oxygen goes to all the muscles too....via the blood
 
I think it's like the peoplr who..........

pick their nose in the car, they think they are invisible to the universe as long as they are in their own world in their mind.
