I think that this is a problem which men who feel somehow inferior have. I have a hard time understanding why some people get like that. I know that I love to flirt and trade double entendres with a lady. I realize that it is quite doubtful that I would find a woman who would fullfill those entendres. If she wanted something to occur, then I would most likely run the other way.

If I am permitted do it, she is allowed to do it. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Besides, it is all in fun and a confident man has no worries that his partner is going to look elsewhere.

I am going to go out on a leg here and guess that you started this thread because some guy got up and started talking some smack because you or another woman that you know was flirting or more with another man, but all that really matters here is how much the feelings of that man matter to you or your friend, period the end. I feel it is entirely ok for men and women to go about their businesses as best they can, as individuals though we all have feelings, whether or not they are always valid or justified feelings is an entirely different issue. The only issue here that really needs to be resolved is between you and the individual person that was upset about what happened with the other guy, and you need to ask yourself are you willing to sacrifice playing the game to appease the feelings of this individual.

My personal philosophy is that when somebody is accusing you of something thats way out in right field, it's because they are guilty (or potentially guilty) of what they're accusing you of. This certainly fits the bill.
Try it sometime. You'll find it's accurate the majority of times. That little observation I made years ago has proven very helpful in realizing peoples intents when someone is making accusations.
