Twice in the last few minutes I've had to make posts where I agree with Flagg. TWICE!!! That's 2 more times than have ever occurred before. I'm not happy about this. And what I'm really not happy about is the amount of shit that's been posted in the last 48 hours. I mean, WTF???

I know this has come up before, but there's a bunch of new people here who may not realize just how FUCKING ANNOYING it is when this crap shows up on EVERY FUCKING THREAD.

Unfortunately I've gotta leave for work here in about 2 minutes, or I'd spend a little more time on this. But I'd just like to ask people to be a little more conscientious and to not SHIT on every fucking thread. Flirting and teasing and playing definitely has a place here. Just not on EVERY FUCKING THREAD.

So, please, think of others, and CUT IT THE FUCK OUT!!!

And trust me, it's just not me and Flagg that you people are annoying with this HORSE SHIT. There are many others that feel the same way, unfortunately it's left up to me to point it out to everyone.

In all seriousness Lasher, if you could cut out the bullshit "I am God and everyone else sucks" type attitude you have going for yourself, people like me who don't have the tenure here might just have a little more respect for you. But it is always your style to constantly berate the less experienced people just because they are having fun with or doing something on this board that does not please you. Not everyone enjoys the same things as you, I hope you know.

There's a saying that goes, "keep the tack in the black baby" that applies perfectly to you. Just relax, pop open a beer, and shut the hell up. And if something doesn't please you then stay away from it. Simple as that.

I think that when a thread is clearly serious to the person who started it, we should all be a little more thoughtful.

I have to weigh in on Lasher's side on this one. I would avoid the frivilous threads if I could, but the last week or so, they are all filled with large blockes of frivilous posts that have nothing to do with the subject.

That means that if I want to avoid frivolity and read some serious opinions, then I pretty much have to start a thread, read my own post, and ignore it thereafter.

I agree with you 100%, Flamingo. I have stated innumerable times on this board that EVERYONE has the right to post whatever opinion they wish to post. HOWEVER, the opposite end of that is that I also have the right to post my opinion on what others post. Freedom of Action does not guarantee Freedom from Reaction. And as you can see from this thread, there are many others that feel the way that I do. I may be more vocal and more demonstrative than others, but I am not alone.

Also, the idea that you can choose to ignore those posts that you find, well, annoying, for lack of a better word, is utterly preposterous. Unless someone can tell me how they can detect that a post is annoying without reading it, I'm at a complete loss of understanding here. If anyone is hiding a Ronco Annoying Post Detector, please let me know, cause I would love to have one. Thanks in advance.....

Beyond that, well, anyone who has felt like the finger was pointing at you, well.... Good. I have been with this board a long time and have always been impressed with the level of intelligence of the people that post here. It can be a special place sometimes. I have seen some amazing things here, from intelligent debate to a wonderful sense of romance - and I will not allow this Board to be turned into a fucking Chat Room. Siren hit the nail right on the head there. If that's what you wish, there is a chat room on this site - I stay out of there for the very reasons I do stay here.

Okay I KNOW that I am one of the major culprits here, I am sorry if I have upset anyone.

But you know I don't beleive that I have entered a serious thread and Fucked around on it. The threads that I have done that on have been put there for fun. If there is a serious question or statement made, that I beleive I can make a contribtion to, then I will gladly do that. If not then I will read what others have posted and leave, not having said a word.

We are here to help each other along the way of our sexual adventures, and I have learnt to be more open with my sexuality from statements that have been made on this Board. I have also learnt to have fun talking about sex from this board, something that I was never comfortable with.

I have started threads here that have been both serious and fun, and have enjoyed the answers on all the threads. I have had confrontations with people, and I have dealt with that the best way I have seen fit at that time. But I have also had lots of fun along the way.

So to you Lasher and Flagg I am sorry for all the shit I have posted in the last couple of days, oh and anyone else that I have pissed off. But I'm not going to stop having fun every now and then, just like the two of you won't ever stop giving your opinions on things. I enjoy reading your thoughts on some things, but other things I may never agree on, and for that I don't get pissed off, I read it and keep going OR I skim through it and then never return.

Sorry but this is just my thoughts on the matter. If we were all serious all of the time none of us would be here.

Oh and by the way I still stand by my statement "Lasher is the one that says what we all feel, he's just the one that writes it".

Betcha $10 that within two weeks everyone will be complaining because the board has become "too serious" and "too argumentative, not fun anymore". Then the pendulum will swing its way back. I left your idea for a "Ronco" annoying post detector ( you are a clever SOB) with Ron's administrative assistant and she loved it. Look for it on an infomercial in 2020 or so. In the meantime, you, like the rest of us, will have to peak under the come on titles of the posts to see what lies beneath.

Given even the slightest sense of humor, you should recover pretty quickly from the ones that don't interest you. It really isn't that big of a deal!!!

Oh, by the way, the Ronco detector will likely be 27 easy payments of $39.95 plus S&H of $73.00. That's in today's dollars. Who knows what it will cost in 20 years.

In the meantime, let your outrage pass and maybe you will live long enough to own one of those detectors.

Yes on occasion I do the same thing. But Lasher is right. I have seen a lot of posts in this last week, that are nothing more than someone saying something and someone flirting back. It is annoying. I have been watching myself do it, and I am currently working on changing that. Also, i have noticed that many of these posts in here, recently, have been nothing more than one side of the world blasting the other, simply because a comment that was made, whether it made sense or not, pissed the person writing the thread off. I had thought that this was a board where people could express their own opinions and not have to worry about a total bad reaction. Although I will admit, I was on the recieving end of one of those. I don't know how many of you actually read my people and stripping thread, but I got blasted quite a bit in there. I think people need to learn to take things in stride. Just like life, you take the good with the bad.

I agree with Lasher. This is what has been happening to me lately:

I find a thread I'm interested in.
I read a few interesting posts.
The thread mutates into a Flirtfest.

After the mutation I have two choices. I can either skim the remaining posts for any posts at all that are on topic (or even remotely related to the topic), or simply scan the names on the left, because it's usually just an extended conversation between the same few people, entertaining only themselves. Is there anyone who likes reading that type of thing without being involved in it? Sometimes I'm entertained for a short while, but then, eventually, I get bored. It reminds me of when my son gets a laugh for something and then he keeps at it, milking it way past the point where it's still funny.

Yes, this has been brought up before, and probably will again. Like Laurel said, the bulletin board goes through phases. I try to tell myself that when it's in Flirt Mode I should take advantage of the fact and get back to my writing.

For the record, the Flirt Fanatics have a right to flirt, just as the Flirt Patrol has the right to object. But if the Fanatics did it in moderation, the patrol would not have to raise the issue at all.

I think that the ranks of Guruhood, etc. have motivated many of us to post more often just to get closer to the different labels. I'm guilty of that to a degree. I found myself getting more and more excited as I approached the magic number, but I DID draw the line at posting silly stuff just to up the tally. Maybe after you hit 1000, you should have NO designation at all, so that ultimately there is no numeric goal toward which to strive.
