I have not been a member here all that long. I think November, 2001.
If anyone is interested in telling how it was you found your way here and why you stayed it may be interesting for others to read.

Me first. I have written most of my life in little books of my own with blank pages. The internet allowed me to find places of erotic content while not being pornographic. For me, porn on the web is just that. Pornographic and stupid.

Non of that here, LOL.

Anyway, the poetry section of Lit seemed very comfortable compared to most of the crap that is out there in the big cold world of commercialism. I must admit that Literotica.org lit my fire a bit. "Golly, a not-for-profit-erotic-email system."

Duh

There are great people here and I have made friends that I hope will remain so all my life.
My first taste of Literotica came from visiting the Links section of www.voyeurweb.com.

How did you get here?

Been at Lit since July 2001

How I got here......I was waiting for the train to take me
back to CT from NYC.....and had time to kill in Grand
Central...had a bite to eat, then went to the big newstand
they have there......looks kinda like a mini barnes and
noble inside...tons of magazines and newspapers....I
picked up a literary mag, then all of a sudden....i darted
my eyes around to make sure no one I knew was around
in there...then proceeded to make my way to the "adult"
section and get my very first copy of Penthouse Letters....

I bought it...yes.....and on the train ride back....I peeked
thru it....and lo and behold, I saw an ad for "Literotica.com"
and the word "stories"......I was like ....wow....what a sign....
I could put my erotic stories up here......I couldn't
wait to get home and onto the computer!!!! When I
got home......and finally made my way to the site, I also
found out that they accepted erotic poetry too...so over
the course of two days, I placed my erotic stories up, plus
a bunch of my erotic poems....and the rest is history! :)

I have been at lit since Feb 2001.

Through a guy I chatted to on ICQ. He had his own website,
http://www.hotelerotic.com/ and we got talking one day about
poetry. I told him I liked writing poetry. He asked me to write an erotic poem to put on his website. I tried my hand at writing an erotic poem and he liked it.

He encouraged me to write a story, the first erotic one I ever wrote,"One man's fantasy."
Then I started reading his stories on his website and he also
told me about literotica.
I was hooked straight away. :)

I used to visit lit back when it had like 30 stories up... does that count when I say "I've been at Lit since..." ?

Master told me about this site close to 2 years ago. I dropped in on occasion to read the stories, then in Oct. 2001 I decided to submit a story.
I eventually found my way to the board. I wouldn't have stayed here long if it hadn't been for tigerjen. After a while I just got hooked. Even after I was drug away from lit, kicking and screaming, I found my way back. The people here keep me interested. I've never come across such a bunch of lovable nuts. (finally, I have found people like me!)

I started

I love reading erotica and I was searching the web when I came upon Literotica.com. I immediately went to it and the rest is history --- this was oh, Jan or Feb 2001. I just recently signed up and started perusing the boards though hehe.

I started

I first came upon this site last year -- Jan or Feb 2001 -- when I was searching for online erotica. I immediately bookmarked it as a favorite. Not only did it have stories of all kinds it also had chat for when I was bored. Earlier this month I got online to chat with some people and accidently hit "board" rather then "chat." I liked what I saw so I signed up and ... well you know the rest :)

Gradually

I had been a reader of erotica for a long time before I somehow noticed Literotica. Frankly, I don't recall how I got here. Probably just doing a search for "erotic stories" on google or something.

Anyway, I think I started reading the stories here sometime in 2000. I was so single-minded in my pursuit of good erotica, that I didn't consider this a site for anything else.

Imagine my surprise when one day..."Hmmm, what's this login-thingy?"

Like smithpeter, I found Lit through the links at voyeurweb. Later, by coincidence, I wrote an erotic story that I posted. I had something like 16,000 reads in under a week, and I was stunned. I don't think anything I have ever written has been so widely read. But that's not why I stay. I like the boards.

A friend of mine mentioned how he and his girlfriend at the time loved to read the stories here. I, of course, checked it out. Being a writer, I took it upon myself to submit a story or two.

I had no plans at the time of writing any poetry, erotic or otherwise.

Shortly afterwards, I took an intro-poetry class, which started me writing poetry. My first fan, KattPurrs, emailed emailed me her responses, and told me to check out the message forums. And everyone once in a while I manage to come back ...

online croney

My s/o told me about Literotica. I've been online for about five years. I've belonged to several online communities, mostly poetry, but I also belong to a listserve for erotica writers and two sexuality forums.

When I got here there wasn't a forum for poets. The toplist was pretty static and there wasn't a whole lot of interaction on the feedback forum for poets. That has since changed. For awhile there was a major surge of energy. Things go in cycles and the community is still thriving.

I, too, have made good friends. While I'm less visible on the board, there are people here that I'm really glad I've met and I make it my business to keep in touch with them.

Good thread, smithpeter.

Peace,

daughter

I was chatting the other day with a friend I met on another message board, and we were discussing how bad those boards were getting: the board regulators were cancelling peoples profile for ridiculous reasons, and no-one felt comfortable anymore. He mentioned to me that he occasionally used Literotica, so I thought I'd just come and check it out.

I didn't know what sort of boards they were really until I got here, and I'm not quite sure yet whether or not these boards are what I'm looking for. But there seems to be a good bunch of people here and little censorship, so I'll probably hang for a while and see how it goes.

I'm here to write poetry and find a lover. I need someone gentle and rough. Someone that can kiss me sweetly, then spank me for kissing like a naughty girl... you know, all tongue. :p

Just arrived

I have just arrived.

For several years now, I have been dunging my pearls before the troughs of swine at the Gregpix.com message-board. It has been a pained and pleasant run. But I want substance, and journeyed feedback.

Recently, an anonymous poster put up a link to this forum, so as to incite a mob of harassment.

I followed, in expectation of drouth,
but found the land delightfully fruitful instead.
Hope you'll have me.
