Okay, well, nevermind this thread. My search function wasn't working and I felt like sharing. *sigh* I'm sure this has been done before. Sorry to waste your viewing pleasure. :)

I started writing out of boredom but now I write because I have to... the stories are in my head and want out....

Although sometimes it would be a lot easier just to drill a hole and let them leak out....

You? :rose:

Because it's healing to my spirit. :rose:

Edited: Not porn writing, that's just something I do for fun and for a challenge. It's the writing that no one sees (other fictional stories, personal poetry) that has the healing effect.

I've always been creative.

Used to use computer programming as an outlet. Don't let them bullshit you, computer programming is an art, not a science.

I used gaming as an outlet as well. Even designed my own RPG.

Now I use writing.

To try different stuff

1. Most of my stories are either vignettes extended for effect or are lightly fleshed outlines that could turn into real stories or books if the focus shifted from sex.
2. Particularly when writing sex scenes, I experiment with word flows. I enjoy doing that in the context of a genre because, like with 1 above, it takes much less effort than being that creative with more difficult ideas.

Exactly. :rose:

I don't really consider what I write to be porn, something to be taken lightly... I put my all into everything I do, or I don't do it. It's fun but it's also my life's work, whether it be erotica or something else entirely. What you see on Lit is what I do.

For a purely selfish reason - because I like to know the warm feeling I get from knowing I've produced something good and something that people like to read. If I was terrible, I don't know I'd still write.

The Earl

My life, the whole world, and every experience comes to me as words.
I'm constantly writing the story of my life in my head.

Sometimes I manage to get it down on paper, too.

I write because I can express myself more accurately in written words than in spoken words.

I write to release.

I write to challenge myself.

I write to comfort myself.

Because I have to, because ideas fill my brain and I have to release them somehow or I'd go insane!!!!

Seriously, I used to have cool little movies in my head when I was a kid, and I was always bummed that I forgot them after a while when they got replaced by other movies. So I started to write them down.

Oh, I know you're serious. I'm the same, just not with stories. I can't write fiction to save my life.

Initially, because there were htings in my mind that wanted out.

Of late however, it must be masochistic tendencies - there's a story in my mind, but I'm perpetually disappointed that the right words won't find their way out.
