Why do you guys seem to like this one so much

I'd like to know what exactly all you litsters think of this one. It's my best so far according to the ratings, but I want to know why.

Reason's I liked your story:
1. It's a light hearted, romantic little story.
2. It's extremely well written.
3. It's a spoof of the old "fear the vampire" theme.
4. It's sexy, erotic and naughty without being over bearing in it's
sexuality.
5. And last but not least I think we all fantisize about being in
our physical prime for eternity.

All in all I think it was a good read, perhaps not what you'd want to read just to get excited, but fun.

It might be fun to write a sequel..... say about fifty years after they made the decision to be together for eternity ..... and maybe she'd changed her mind. Just a thought.

My take on the story

Dear Aria,
You latch onto a rather powerful trope-- vampires aren't subject to being rushed by quotidian errands or demands.
It's not uncommon to fanatasize about what it'd be like to have more time to play with, to pursue the myriad things (or women)I'd love to get into.
The biggest problem with modern life is the sensation of being in some demented race run by the White Rabbit and Red Queen.
Romance is, at heart, a statement that your life's love is unique, special, and wonderful, and even a no-neck redneck like myself feels the rush of time and the ridiculous extent of what we shovel into work and ephemeral trivia vs. what's really important.
In a way, your story latches onto that collective need to transcend the limits of mortality and reality fraught with very real, if somewhat unlikely mortal dangers and the whims of a scarily indifferent fate.
OK, in short, liked the story, found it interesting and less long-winded than Anne Rice, a definite plus in this venue/genre. Keep up the good work.

Bonnybee... I am currently working on a sequel. It's not set quite as far ahead as 50 years, but who knows, I might write a 3rd chapter. We'll see how it goes.

I like fresh vampire stories that have fun themes and happy endings not the male dominating hypno rape vampire stories.

Hey vampires have lots of time to have fun and don't spend all their waking nights stalking victims. If that were the case we'd all be vampires. We're not are we? I mean there has to be some one out there besides me who isn't a vampire. I haven't been out in the daylight in years so I don't know if their are still people up in the day time but if there are they would have to not be vampires right. Your not a vampire are you? right? Those eyes, those lips they hypnotize me. My neck is itching just looking at the picture. OUCH! It's going to be a VERY long night. Might even last a lifetime!! hehehe
