Why do smart, educated people vote Democrat and intellectual retards vote Republican?

Same reason that all members of the Unicorn Party are unicorns.

Actually he is right. Stats show that the more educated you are (in terms of diplomas) you are more likely to vote Democrat. On the flip side, the less educated you are, the more likely you are to vote Democrat.

He is speaking the truth somewhat.

We know.

It's still a swell parody thread.

I know, i saw the other stupid thread. There is truth to what you say though.

Um… huh?

Are you saying that the Democrats are only "more or less" educated?

yeah the nutjob rioting demonstrators in St Paul who'll surely vote for Obama in November are fucking scholars

One million monkeys with keyboards are registered under a single name: semen4her.

I don't know. I'm pretty sure semen4her is never going to write Shakespeare.

We're not even sure Shakespeare wrote Shakespeare.

My bet is on Queen Elizabeth I, a delightfully talented minx.

To be honest without the scholarly translations I wouldn't understand the
Shakespearean dialogue much better than any of the million monkeys.

Here's one explanation, from a 2003 psychological study:

A study funded by the US government has concluded that conservatism can be explained psychologically as a set of neuroses rooted in "fear and aggression, dogmatism and the intolerance of ambiguity".

As if that was not enough to get Republican blood boiling, the report's four authors linked Hitler, Mussolini, Ronald Reagan and the rightwing talkshow host, Rush Limbaugh, arguing they all suffered from the same affliction.

All of them "preached a return to an idealised past and condoned inequality".

Republicans are demanding to know why the psychologists behind the report, Political Conservatism as Motivated Social Cognition, received $1.2m in public funds for their research from the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health.

The authors also peer into the psyche of President George Bush, who turns out to be a textbook case. The telltale signs are his preference for moral certainty and frequently expressed dislike of nuance.

"This intolerance of ambiguity can lead people to cling to the familiar, to arrive at premature conclusions, and to impose simplistic cliches and stereotypes," the authors argue in the Psychological Bulletin.

One of the psychologists behind the study, Jack Glaser, said the aversion to shades of grey and the need for "closure" could explain the fact that the Bush administration ignored intelligence that contradicted its beliefs about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction.

Um… huh?

Are you saying that the Democrats are only "more or less" educated?

Im saying they are both. According to those who have applied to vote and what degrees they have, if you have a Ph. D. you are more likely to vote Democratic. Also, if you have a high school diploma (and thats it) you are more likely to vote Democratic. The reasons for this, I think, are pretty obvious.

60% of this country borders on retarded (and i don't mean canada). they aren't all pub... or dem ... or right or left. it's not how people vote, it's the reasoning behind it.
