Most of the Catholic abuse took place in the 1980s and 90s and they have had to pay for it (figuratively and literally) for decades. GOP pols can be as evil and manipulative as anyone. Considering there are tens of thousands of GOP officials, yes, some might be perverts and glad when they go to jail and/or kill themselves.
