why do people think, bankers are evil scum?

Probably because bankers, as a whole, have done some shady shit in the past at their customers' expense.

Wells Fargo, for instance, is trying to get beyond their recent fraud scam by announcing that they've "recommitted themselves" to their customers. I haven't noticed that any members of the BOD quit over the scam. Or went to jail. Or actually changed the way they do business other than (as they claim) eliminating performance quotas for bank representatives sales on investment products.

The bank reps still push those products. And they still earn a hefty commission on them. So "eliminating quotas" changes nothing. It's all an ad campaign.

Because bankers are evil scum.

That's better. :D

It IS!!!!! Much better. Thank you for finally recognizing it.

I want to say thank you to all my adoring fans. I am so blessed to be recognized as the evil scum that I am by you. I want to thank VB (is that worse or better than VD? 'Cause VD can be cured with penicillin but I'm not so certain about VB.) for the official notice, my esteemed colleagues for their hard work and diligence in making this happen, The extra hours I put in at work just so that everyone would know how dedicated I was to achieving this unprecedented level of evil scuminess. And my mom for letting me live in her basement long after it was time to kick my ass to the curb. And you, the gentle souls of LIT. Without you this would all be for naught. So thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Now, where's my trophy dammit. And somebody get those fucking retards off my lawn. And call the CDC; I think my yard has VB and it's going to get over-fertilized if they can't find a cure.

Cuz they are.

Also, I'm meeting w/a banker this week to discuss some BS about my fucked up checking account. And she's hot!

Q: What do you call 1000 bankers at the bottom of the sea?
A: Passenger list of the Titanic.

I'd agree with RightGuide on this one. I think - for the most part, most people don't think bankers are evil scum, and then for the second part, modern banking is a rather arcane and convoluted art and in general things we don't understand can be frightening, success we don't understand can provoke a reflexive response.

(I think the same holds true for lawyers as well.)

Q: What do you call 999 lawyers at the bottom of the sea?
A: Good riddance.

I fixed your post. I did have to change the total amount though. It was only 999 because I know how to swim.

We haven't dealt with bankers for decades. Credit unions FTW!

Asked and answered.

Most bankers long to be an accountant and sail upon the wide accountantsea.

I don't even trust them AFTER they sign on the dotted line.

Nothing like getting fucked over by a banker that you went to school with that lies to you with a smile on his face when he tells you that the bank has reconsidered your loan approval from yesterday ...to bad you already sold your car and are afoot.

Sorry Buddy! There is just nothing I can do!

I should have fucked his girlfriend when I had the chance but NOOOO! Mr. Goody two shoes was a gentleman yet again!

No good deed goes unpunished...

hey ---,

why do people believe, bankers are evil scum?

..."I don't trust lawyer, I don't trust no cop
I don't trust no banker from the bottom to the top."

I don't trust nobody--, Not even myself!
Well I don't trust you but I don't trust,
Nobody else."
