Why do people take offence?

Chatmic, you Clique Buster...the best defense is a good offense.

Sometimes it helps if you register. Some people here seem to not like the "unregistered outsiders".

ok ok, no more taking up the cause for someone else's defense. a few seem to think that i am referring to myself when i speak about this...so well, i was referring to someone else but nevermind.
so hey, i am taking off my armour, getting off my horse, throwing down my flag and walking away from that bonfire...no more JOAN OF ARC for me !!!!
so from now on i am plain ole chatmic...and coming thru the BB cantina doors to say "Hi all, the drinks are on me !!!"
I am diving on in there.

I'm one of those people. It's not that I'm a stickler for registration, I just hate it when some unregistered user claims to be a raped woman in one thread and everyone gives their condolences and support. The very next thread, the same user says he's a man with a cheating wife. It's very rude to milk the board for sympathy with lies. You don't generally see registered users switching like that from post to post. So I don't trust the posts of people who don't register. I don't understand why they don't, it's free and it takes less than a minute.

Seeing that I was the one that this post was originally about, I know why he got some flack. He did some ribbing of his own on something I posted...and when I sparred back in that thread, he started this one about people taking offense. Which I really didn't. I never take offense to this BS. I come to have a little smile time, and if there is something I can crack a joke at, or maybe give some helpful advice-well then I will. This really had nothing to do with this guy bein' new at all, you see. I'm not sure what I'm considered here, nor do I care. I don't care how many people put me on their little fuck lists, or whatever else lists. There are just some genuinely funny ass people here (dixon, knock me a little kiss), (lash, you too)....sweet ones as well,(Ben, your turn)....hum cliques you say?
:D :D :D :D
Anyways, quit your whinin' and register.
RIbbin' ya...feel like one of the 'gang' now?

Melody Lane:

I registered, no more whining ( sniff sniff) can I come out to play with the big kids now??

As someone else so succintly put it...Can I have a Gin and Platonic or will it be Scotch and Sofa?

Hey, what's with the Apple Valley convention in here? This world is getting way too small these days. :)

Me thinks someone pissed in the cheerios this morning...

I would like to think that all of us are welcuming to the "newbies." After all, who else would we razz if it wern't for them. (J/K)

On any BB or even in RL people who have been around longer are going to talk about things that happened in the past that not all the new people are going to completely understand. It would be really unrealistic of the new people to expect the ones that have been here longer to never refer to a funny situation or comment or happening that occured even 24hrs ago. I myself have been here since the beginning of the BB (i think???) and there have been many people to cum & go. I'd like to think it's because their schedules changed or they started getting some at home and not because we were mean & picked on them too much...

Am I making any sense here? Probably not. I know that my reason for cumming here is to de-stress after my ever increasingly stressful days at work. It keeps me from drinking, rather I laugh & write silly stuff & give advice when I can to get my mind off the more serious things in life.

I don't think any of us sit here & plot how we can make fun of someone else or make another BB poster miserable.

Just my twee-fiddy...

(Here, Zeke!!! We got someone new for you to play with!!!)LOL
