Why do nice guys finish "LAST"?

We all have heard the saying, "Nice guys finish last"! But, why is what I'm wondering. I hear alot of women say " why can't I just find a nice guy"! But, when they do they get scared.

I'm just curious. I'm not looking for a nice anything or an asshole either. I'm just curious what the people have to say to this question. Post if you like, PM if you like, it doesn't matter to me either way. I just want to know your opinion.

This discussion has been held many times. I believe the actual question is "why do women reward jerks and bullies with sex?" I think that is the real question, because it goes to a sense of fundamental unfairness that rubs people the wrong way.

Why is it when a man doesn't get what he wants, it's the "nice guys finish last" spiel? It's such a cliche! Everybody's different, wants and needs are different, not everything is going to work out all the time. Push that silly slogan away and get to the heart of the matter. You now just because the word "guys" is in the statement does not always refer to guys, but women too! Does the same reasons apply to females as well!
