Why do mostly guys post in the personals?

b> females tend to prefer to find people by chatting and getting to know others in existing threads. a female just has to post anywhere near the personals to have their inbox's jammed full of messages which is kind of annoying when you see the general standard of received message.

There are a lot of guys here. It's like Kinkyguy said, the women are looking for something more than just a cyber fling, whereas the majority of the guys can go either way. I posted an ad and pics at around the same time, and I received about 300 PMs the first day. So, yeah, I can see how that'd be a tad skewed. However, by being a female posting an ad, I was also subjected to inane, stupid PMs from guys wanting to show me their cocks. (*Yawn*) I got a few decent ones, however, and actually have met two cyber lovers from the ad - one who's come and gone, and the other who's tying up loose ends to move down here - plus made a couple of new friends.

Good luck to you either way. I recommend, instead of just posting a nebulous ad in the Personals, that you just play it cool and post in the Playground. If you interact in a forum like that, eventually you'll meet someone. I strongly suggest, though, that you don't come off as just wanting cyber or phone fun. We're women - we like a bit of finesse.

Hi there, I just joined today and don't know anything about the site or how it really works yet but I do want to add my 2cents.

I have to fall back on the timeless theory that women, when in need, can get what they are looking for at the drop of a hat. Men however can not. For example; any woman can walk into a club and go home with someone if she desires. A man walks into a club with the same ambition and will mostly likely go home alone. Therefore you find more men than women trying harder online to meet people and just like the clubs & bars, You end up with more & more men competeing for the attention of a smaller number of women. Depressing but true. I'm one of those guys now.

My two cents ... I agree with Raidho

Put it out there becuase you never know. Sometimes it may not look like the guys get responses in the thread but I will have sent them a PM

In my opinion, your personality comes through when you speak/type from your heart. Say what's on your mind.

I will advise that you don't get in to the bad habit of abbreviating every other word though. Honestly, if someone PMs me with (how r u?) I just think they're too lazy to type (How are you?).

I do tend to post more in threads because it's not like I have one specific thing I'm looking for. I'm open. Most often I get PMs from people who've posted in the threads I've posted in or have read them and want to know more or just chat.

I'd like to add my two cents worth... or maybe my 1 and a half cents worth, since I'm an aussie, and our cents aren't worth as much as your US cents - but I digress...

I like to think of it as one of those dances from back in high school, when it was "Ladies choice" and all of us guys stood around nervously waiting for a girl to ask us to dance.

The point is, it is a ladies choice environment, but if you aren't lined up with the other guys on the edge of the dancefloor, how else are you going to get asked?

I do have a few tidbits of info I'd like to add. "Just my humble opinions"

a) Post in the threads, we want a sneak peek at who you are. This will also help match you up with women with similar interests.
b) Add a little something to your profile about yourself, age etc.
c) Add location that helps so we know if you're in the same general vacinity.
d) I prefer someone honest, I hate getting to know someone then they spring oh well we can't meet I'm married or well I just wanted to cyber with you. Many woman are looking for just those things, many are not. Be honest.
e) Have fun and relax there are many women that post and many more that lurk.
