I would assume men chase women because they like the challenge of getting that particular woman.

Look at all the cuties in the bar...the group of women wearing low cut tops and tight pants, bending over the pool tables, or sitting at the bar playing with their hair, plenty of them are there because they WANT to be chased, but they're only gonna let certain guys catch 'em. I don't imagine either of these methods work on a regular basis, though, especially when combined. "What? I look like a jackass again? Who knew?"
