Last night I met the most wonderful person...drop dead sexy...the kind of man that wears Levis and a white button down shirt to a black tie event and stands out as the best looking man there...BUT he lives in Australia!!

Then there are a few that live on the other side of North America...and some extremely sexy people in England...

Dammit!! Everyone move to the west coast!! NOW!:p

I'm sorry sexy.....I know you want to rub your butt against mine. We'll just have to suck it up and dream about it:eek: :p :D

My best guess is there are actually alot of people that are attractive all around us on a daily basis.

On the internet we have an exscuse to meet them and talk about all kinds of things.
Have you ever just stopped someone on the street and said, Hey, nice pants, where do you live?

I know I don't, but I do that on the internet.
And damnit, they all live three or more states away. If I find they do live close it freaks me out a little, because it's just a lot more possible for things to happen.
Things I don't want to happen right now.

I wish I was in Palm Springs! I'm a Southern Calif. girl that's been transplanted here in Oregon now about 4 years.
And, after 4 years here, that song is still playing in my head....
*Goin back to Cali*:D

I'll be in S.F, Calif in July to meet some people from Lit and hopefully So. Calif. soon after.

I have the same problem

Must be a west coast girl thang....I'm a SoCal girl as well.

bluemuse

Soooo far away....

I have this problem as well. I tend to find compatible people in other countries. Like Australia, when I live in the United States. Ugh.

West Coast Blues

I hear you Cath! Although, there are people in your area and I do agree that we are more open and flirtatious online. It's also those things you cannot have that may seem so inviting and arousing. It pushes and tugs at your sensualness and heart strings, but you yearn for the touch and the ability to share physical moments with the one afar. Yet, it's like wanting and then discovering that it may be all that it is. That's how people work online at times and not in RL…sometimes. The physical is a different case, but it can end up all the same at times. Sheesh, even when you see someone online and they swoon you, you end up PM'ing and/or talking and those rushed feelings begin to disolve for one reason or another.

I am moving to S.F. in a couple of months or less. So, West Coast here I come, but in the same manner of this thread I am sure I will be liking someone I met online or in the physical when I re-visit NYC, ugh!

It's unfortunate but true that most of the people I find attractive live too far away to make a relationship viable. Well - we can still be friends and distance can't diminish that so there are some advantages to meeting great people who live thousands of miles away.

It's the reason we feel safe enough to be open online. It's--well--safe. If you try to get to meet somebody on this board, you know you're not going to laughed at by all your friends if you get shot down, you're not going to be sued for harrassment, you're not even going to feel that bad about it because whoever rejected you didn't really know you all that well...
But when you do meet someone, and everything goes right, it was all just a "practice round," little risk, and little reward. *sigh*

There's gotta be _some_ way to beat the system. Come on, people, if all the available 'n sexy ones are here on the East Coast, where are you hiding?

Perhaps they are shy about being tied up like in your AV? :p

I would have to say yes ... I was out of town when the most beautiful man came into the resturant where I was having dinner with friends. I asked my waitress to go over & ask him what kind of jeans he was wearing. Needless to say she came back & he had written down his reply on a paper napkin along with his name & phone # ... that night we met up & had a wonderful time.:)

But I must agree some of the most interesting men I have met online seem to live so far away. *pout*

And example would be the handsome charming man below me. * looking down * ;)

Hi P4U

Some of us aren't too far away and would be glad to have the chance to charm you <devilish grin>

It is a rule on the internet- didn't you read your copy?

Distance makes the heart grow fonder.

We're all in the same boat.

I don't know how many are on the west coast. I live in the seattle area i'm 44 male blonde hair, blue eyes, 5'10", 280. I'm not drop dead sex bu i'mnot ugly. I'm a type of guy that will cuddle, i'll cook you a nice dinner, give you a bath, warm oil massage, and if your sick be there takin care of you. I'm single for the momment. There's a lot more than drop dead sexy.

Aprho

That is a neat story with the jeans and the note. That is so cool. Cheers to you for that.

Seems to be a lot of participants from LA. I wish I'd known about lit when I lived there. Seems meeting people, relaxing and having fun are more highly valued there than on the east coast. Having lived a decent amount of time on both coasts, my experience is that it's much harder to meet people here in the east. Maybe it's cause the weather is so good so often in CA that people are outside a lot more and in situations where it's easy to meet people.

Well I live far away from nearly everyone here but I'm not too worried about that.....

Lobito

Are you really going back? Man, good luck to you. I miss it bad. I've gained 10 lbs being back east cause I hate running in the cold. Brrr. Are you going North or South?
