One more query before I disappear-

I have seen some pretty interesting usernames on here, many are probably self-explanatory but some have really made me wonder... What's the story behind your username?

I wanted the name to have no connection to me in RL. Surprise, my name isn't Keith. For the previous sr71plt account, I wanted it to be something from my life but disconnected from anything that would be identified to me in the publishing world in RL.

That makes sense, Keith is a nice name too :)

Scarlett was taken..

Yep...

Someone got Scarlett before me and I didn’t want numbers..

Back in the day my user name was Rad, which came from a misspelling of my first name on a club jacket, way back when. Rad was in use here so I added the Tx since I live in Texas.

That's the short version.

When attempting to think of a username, I thought to myself that I'm just one person... who likes to write.

I wanted something simple enough that even an idiot like me could remember it. I chose all lowercase letters because I'm too lazy to hit the Shift key.

Rustyoznail

Rusty - Russell. I’ve used Rusty as part of most of my forum usernames. Shortens to Russ, which is also short for Russell - not my name...

Oz - a flag to say I’m not a Pom or a Yank.

Nail - Rustyozcorrugatediron doesn’t have the same ring...

Please don't disappear. We might feel rejected if you do.

There's no big story with my name. It popped into my head as a name for a story character years agoi when I was dreaming up stories but hadn't actually written one yet. Then when I decided to start a Literotica account and write stories, I had to pick a name and picked this one. But it has no meaning or association with me. "Doom" is a choice against type, because I'm generally a pretty optimistic person (although, I must admit, my optimism is a somewhat morbid optimism).

Mine is relatively self explanatory - I for the most part write stories set in the past.

Also, it looks good on the cinema marquee - Doctor Doom and the Deathray of Death.

EB66 is a variant of a moniker from another, completely unrelated forum. Some other bugger had the unnumbered version here (how dare they), so I bolted 66 on - it's got nothing to do with age or year of birth, isn't two-thirds the number of the beast, nor the highway.

Well, I am Chloe, and when I try to remain anonymous I always screw up and use my real first name, so I used my real first name and then took my Mom’s family’s surname and used another version. There’s a zillion ways of translating Tzang into English so I went with a different one.

Is it okay to say; I can't really remember  I'm pretty sure I thought it sounded kinda romantic ... making love under the northern lights on those long yukonnights — But, EB is going to chime in and say my brain's been frostbit and tease me for being trapped indoors 11 months out of the year

We are Polly and Anna... And are from Orange Walk Town.

PS just what is wrong with DeHavilland? :D:eek::D

It's based on my real life nickname which is based on my real life initials.

At least you didn't call yourself Mooseboy :).

Hahaha. I just checked. It's already taken, as is Mooseboy96. What is with these people who put numbers on the end of perfectly good names? ;).

I almost had a heart attack (stress related). I had changed my life and began writing to reduce the stress. The stories became a way of escaping my real life. Another friend told me the stories were the songs in my heart needing to escape. Heartsongs came to mind. Besides the sex, I really hope people also read into my stories the characters living a life of love and kindness... two actions which help heal the heart.

I like chemistry, and often choose online usernames that deal with chemistry. And non-crosslinked polyacrylates look just like jizz, so it seemed appropriate for Lit.
