Why did it take so long to arrest Father Shanley?

Why havnt more of these child molesting priests been arrested? What about Cardinal Law? He knew what was up with some of these Priests. Yet, he covered up the behavior. Shouldnt he be charged with something? This is not a bash the Catholic Church thread as i cannot condemn the whole organization. but those responsible should be held accountable like anyone else would be. I have 0 tolorance for people who sodomize young children.

As a Bostonian the feel from the people on the streets here is that Cardinal Law is no more then an alter boy pimp and when the supply was up in one parish he moved his priests to another.

The reason it takes so long to arrest and prosocute these vile excuses for human life is that many of the victims are afraid to tell, and if they do they are then told to let it go not to humiliate the church etc.

Well the time has come the people are no longer going to tolerate this gross misuse of power over innocents and they will no longer allow the pimping of their children by Cardinal Bernard Law! We expect that he will be forced to resign and hopefully some form of criminal charge will be filed.
