I mean, the sequels pretty much sucked, but the original Jaws was a pretty scary movie for its time.

I never saw the movie until last summer. I only screamed once.

I was one of the first people in America to see Jaws..my friend won tickets from a radio station to see "a sneak preview of a major Hollywood film". We didn't know what to expect, this was before any of the Jaws hype came out.

You're much funnier under your real username, than that idiotic attack alt of yours -Darbhinder- is.

Keep it up.

I'm sure it was good. Then. Now, it's too hard to suspend reality to even go for the ride. The shark is just too fake.

Speaking of "the ride", one summer I worked backlot security for Universal Studios. Sometimes I'd sneak girlfriends in through the back gate (hey....I was security!) and drive them around the lot looking for evildoers and such. Got to see a number of movie sets with YUUUUGE props (Battlestar Galactica - The Movie comes to mind). The highlight, though, was driving through "Amityville Village" and rolling over the switch that triggered the giant pneumatic shark that came thrashing out of the water and inevitably scared the hell out of whoever was in the passenger seat.

Good times. Many blowjobs.

-Note to Universal: sorry about the cumstain we left in the Captain's Chair on the Galactica set.

Hitler's favorite movies were King Kong and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Pretty young girls, non-consent, bondage...what's there not to like?

Richard Dreyfuss sounds Jewish. I have no idea if he is but that would be enough for Hitler. Also that Spielberg guy. Oh and that sympathetic view of an American ship sunk during WW2.

Before anyone goes crazy on me remember the original question is why Hitler would hate Jaws.

It's true; you can find anything on the Internet.

Spielberg named the mechanical shark ''Bruce'' after his lawyer, Bruce Ramer. So not only is Jaws Jewish, he is also an attorney! Ramer later became national president of the defence organisation, the American Jewish Committee (1998-2001).

The very idea of having a Jewish shark as a protagonist raises the ugly head of the historic blood libel. It taps into age-old fears of the Jew as predatory, lusting after gentile women and the blood of young Christian children. Surely, then, it is no coincidence that the first victims in the film are a (presumably) non-Jewish blonde and a young boy. Indeed, the poster for the film plays on these fears in its depiction of a blonde female swimmer being menaced by the huge (read: phallic) shark.

The Titanic was a British liner sunk by the Jews prior to World War One.

Hitler sold copies of "Jewnado" at his "Make Germany Bake Again" rallies.
