Not trying to be offensive here, but why would anyone with half a brain move to Manitoba?

Its interesting to me because I grew up in a neighborhood with a lot of Filipinos. It was a heavy Navy area in San Diego. I just thought it was normal. It wasn't until I was older I even thought about it. I thought there were more Filipinos in the US then there are.

At any rate, I have heard there are a ton of Filipinos in Winnipeg. Can someone explain this? Have they all lost their frigging minds? Why would they move there?

This is half trying to be funny, but I do wonder. That seems odd of all places.

probably to make a living as there probably aren't as many job opportunities back home as there are in Manitoba

This is also why more Hawaiians live on the mainland of US than they do on the islands, jobs and cost of living - mainly the cost of living

I work with a guy from the Philippines. He sits at his desk wearing a coat and stocking hat and we're "south of the border". :)
