My brain ever be nice to me?

Last night for the first time in ages I actually had dreams I remember.

The first one was right out of the Outer Limits. I started traveling, by bus and Alternate Transportation (hitchhiking) out to a small town. Then coming back the same way.

When I get back to the city, it's nearly empty. Very few people around, and they're just going through the motions of life. And all I see of the city is indoors, deserted malls and office buildings.

Finally I meet some one who can explain. Takes me outside where I see all the buildings are decrepit and rotting. Turns out I've wandered into some alternate reality and there's no way back. It ends with me teaching a lecture on the physics behind my circumstance to three other people who are caught there as well. One of them is female and cute. We all seem inured to our fate.

And the whole damned thing keeps switching POV between first and third person as well.

And then my brain goes into the sequel.

I'm in a room, more a crib, with the young lady at the end of the last dream. I look out a window and I can see the tops of the buildings boiling away to nothingness. I turn around, the young lady has vanished, as well as much of the other stuff in my crib.

So I go out to see what I can do to get her back.

Once outside, I can hear the sound of marching. I can see walls of black filling the streets. Once they get close enough, I can see the walls are made of tiny creatures, like paper cut out dolls, but matte black. The walls separate into the little people and they start to dismantle reality. They even have little black bureaucrats in charge of the whole thing.

Luckily I woke up then.

That's it. Needed to get that out of my system.

Feel free to analyse, mock, freak or threadjack.

Damn that's a cool dream!

I had another one of those boring stupid dreams where I'm supposed to be an expert on something but have no idea what I'm talking about.

What do you think the little black creatures marching were, now that you're awake? Did you have any emotions for the lady who disappeared?

The tops of the buildings boiling away into nothingness sounds like the waves of heat that come up from aspahlt roofs in the scorching sun.

Rob, you could really use that and turn it into either a really cool Erotic Horror story, or Sci-fi. I'd take that scenario and run with it.

i have these recurring dreams of sleeping with one of my law lecturers.

and ones where somebody cuts off all my hair.
those are always scarifying.

Now that I've thought about it, the little black things was my read on much of humanity who seem more and more to be paper cutouts and are busy dismantling reality.

Yeah, I was pissed about her disappearing. I liked her.

The vanishing effect was more digital, as if the pixels of the building were sucked away by a vacuum.

I'm hoping the next time I have a dream like that, i don't remember.

I'd say it was a literotica dream.

The little black army reminds me of a sequence of dreams I had about swarms of bees, which I mentioned to a psychiatrist once. He told me that guilt or fear is often represented by a swarm of smaller malevolent entites, which is our attempt to deal with it. I also think that the fact that they were paper indicates that you probably deal with issues through your writing (like most of us authors).

It's a Literotica dream becuase of the (cyber) encounter with the girl and the "alternative" reality. The emptiness and sudden realiziation that it's not real is either part of you waking up, or an awareness of the transient reality of the Cyber world you spend your time in.

That will be $100.

For someone who isn';t used to remembering dreams I can see how that would be a disturbing one. I have dreams like that all the time - not the same subject obvivously, but long detailed POV shifting dreams that i'm both watching, and at the same time I'm every one of the characters.
