Why can the rich (or even semi-wealthy) get away with it?

How come if you have status, money, and power you can flout all the laws you want, and the more wealthier and powerful you are proportionally the more laws you can ignore?

If you are even semi-rich, a businessman let's say, they prostitution is nice and legal for you-but if you are a joe 6-pack that can't afford $400 for one hour alone with a bautiful escort (or indeed even as much as $1,000 for a night) then you would be orced to constantly look over you shoulder for "the man" with the badge ready to pounce on you and arrest, humiliate, and jail you.

A $100 hooker would never be able to advertise herself on the internet, it would be illegal, against protitution laws here in the U.S. (except in parts of Nevada or in other countries). Buuuuut sice they cater to the rich and famous everything has a blind eye turned towards it. I hate the double standards here in the US.
