I work in a medium security prison assessing inmates daily and can tell you that the word supremacist is never used in the Dept of Corrections. The media hypes the importance of gang membership in prisons. Most inmates do not belong to a gang, but they do tend to congregate and hang out with their own race mostly. Gangs in prison are mainly a means of moving drugs and contraband. While most inmates do not belong to a gang...most violence in the US prison system is caused by rival gangs for financial reasons.

A supremacist is one who subscribes to an ideologies associated with the supremacy of a certain race.

The difference is that for Hispanics and blacks, supremacy is not even an option; while, for whites, and even in this day-and-age, and even for the lowest and most worthless sort of whites such as lifer-prisoners and yourself, it is the default-setting.

My uni had a Celtic heritage club, a "European" heritage club, and a Norse heritage club. With all the other heritage clubs. I don't know what they did because I've never been in ANY heritage clubs, but it probably wasn't that different from the other clubs.

The Celtic one was huge. Anybody who had ever seen Braveheart wanted to be in it. I've always thought race-based clubs were kinda stupid. But that might be because I don't really ever try to fight for anything. One side of my heritage is already winning and the other side kind of gave up.
