Why are they so many American Jews here?

Just an observation, not a judgement. Clearly more than the 1.7 % in the general population. I looked and there didn't seem to be much interest in Israel. Just one club and it's only three years old. And it seems to get a mix of people, not just Jews.

You have to forgive my ignorance but I've only had one Jewish friend and he was sent down here to work for a year from New York. My niece almost married one. I think that horrified my brother at the time.

But the stereotype of the Jewish princess is hardly submissive. Of course mine is probably that I fuck my cousins. Only in my fantasies perhaps, but even Jimmy Carter admitted to having lust in his heart.

Of course it could just be some weird anomaly unique to this board.

Among other things, Judaism tends to emphasize debate over religious topics and written expression as more important methods of worship than faith itself, as Christianity describes it. Even for those of us who end up less observant or completely secular, I have noticed the tendency to favor written communication and passionate argument remains. Where do those two things meet? I think it's interesting that there are quite a few Jews here, too. But then that could just be the fact that I grew up in the backwoods, and the only Jew I've ever met in real life (that I know of) is my grad advisor. Well we are 22% of the country. Almost 30% if you throw in Texas. I would claim them since they did fight in the War of Northern Aggression. But Texans are probably mixed on it.

People like to group us too. Someone posting in Arizona doesn't get put in a southwest coalition.

One of the very few things I've ever felt like my mother got right is that I was raised in such manner as resulted in fewer sexual hangups than almost anyone I know. I've really never struggled with guilt over sex or what my pussy is doing - guilt over marks I've left, people I've made cry even if they want, all that normal stuff, sure, but not over fucking, fucking girls, boys, whatever.

I know she wasn't raised like that, but more in an environment where sex was unmentionable rather than outwardly labeled sinful. Just nonexistant.
