Why are the halloween decorations still up here?

I see no pumpkins in the image that leades to. If you do, then you need to search your hard drive for where the old copy with the pumpkins is stored and delete it. (It's probably a "hidden file" so you need to enable "show hidden files" in whatever you use to search your harddrive.)

It may be that because the image with the pumpkins is a "newer" image than the everday image, some systems will automatically assume that it is the prefered image.

Smashin Pumpkins

Well I still had the pumpkins . So I cleared history, deleted temporary internet files and deleted cookies.
The next time I logged on they had gone. But now they're back. So now I'm stumped. Guess I'll just have to learn to live with 'em.
Some people get trolls, I'm not gonna complain if all I get is pumpkins following me.

Okay, I have emptied my cookie files, history files, and temp internet files. I have run scandisk and defragged my unit. I do live in the east, but not sure what that has anything to do with it...And I still have the pumpkins, guess it could be worse...I could sign on and not see anything....

I don't know what else to suggest. I just visited every page on the site and could not get any pumkins to show up.

Because that image is on nearly every page, it is ranked as one of the most viewed images in my temporary internet files. That keeps it from being downloaded unless there is a newer version or I "synchronize" by making the whole site available offline. (a long and time consuming process I haven't actually done here because it is constantly changing.)

Somehow, and somewhere, you are picking up a halloween version of the image that is registering as more current than the everyday version. If any of you can identify the page it first shows up on, tell Manu or Laurel so they can get rid of it.

I have deleted every single damn cookie from my computer, one at a time, took well over an hour, deleted literotica from my 'favorites' in AOL, gained access to the site via yahoo search function,,,

yeah,,, no pumpkins.

Somebody out there MUST have a clue as to what is going on here,,, cause I sure don't,,, not even a hint any longer,,,

There is one page that they didn't get removed from, and some systems are set in such a way that they see that one copy as the current image. If you can help ilsolate which page has the pumpkins, then we can get rid of it for everyone.

I refreshed page one of the BB,,, have just repeated the ENTIRE process this morning, no pumpkins to start off with, then when I refreshed page one of this BB, they came back,,, I can see the cookie when I look at the IE-5 files, I just can't make it stay GONE !!

I never knew how to dump temp I-net files because I, too, am a closet PC no-nothing. My MO is to just read everything I can and hope that something, somewhere will help me do the things I want to do. (This method of PC and software modification works only if you have a great deal of time on your hands!)

Is that the page and image that causes the pumpkins to return?

BTW, it is NOT the cookie that controls what image you see, but the copy of this image that is stored on your system in the temporary internet files as controlled by the settings that tell your system when to refresh that stored copy.
