Why are so many women insecure about themself? I mean i am not by any means Brad Pitt like looking myself, but i think men are mostly overestimante themself while women underestimate themself. Why is that, or is it just me that i notice that kind of thing so often? A lot of women start threads with "Please be nice" or "Please be Gentle". Or maybe i am just one of the many man who overestimates himself. Your opinion?

I have observed this issue and know of two major issues. I am sure there are several others.

1) Our society, in so many ways, depicts the "ideal woman" in terms of weight, figure, makeup, hair color & style and creates the notion that anything else is sub-standard. 98% of women are unfairly "labeled" less than the best from the get-go.

2) We also have a problem in our society of people, usually men (boyfriends, lovers, husbands) who openly tell the women in their life that they are less than ideal and should work to improve themselves. I think this is often a case of a male pumping up himself (relatively) by putting her down.

Bottom line is that many women are made to feel less that the best, less than desirable, when in fact they are not. This creates a major self esteem issue that you are noticing by how these lovely ladies introduce their pic threads.

I think it is our responsibility to do whatever we can to restore the self esteem of all these "victims" of the ills of our society.

As a women honestly no clue. I have no problem with my age 52, and getting older.
As a women I have my flaws, getting older, the little "problems" I take them with a smile.
My path has not always been roses, believe me many thorns on the road, but I learned from the thorns, and moved on. Never lost my smile and never will. I just wish that everyone would smile, life comes with many ups and downs, but for me its a wonderful life. My first thread was called. Life is to short to be bored, so let's have fun....
Not sure this makes any sense, but do hope if an "insecure" lady read this, does......

I agree, I have witnessed many more women with "body issues", in their own head that are not really an issue. Myself, like many, many others on lit worship the many forms that our lovely ladies come in, and appreciate their assets. To me, what is in the mind is way sexier than the package it comes in, and by that I mean a secure woman with a sexual side who doesn't fit Hollywood's idea of the perfect woman is way more desirable than that perfect 10, who is lifeless and closed minded in the bedroom. My 2 cents worth.

And yes, I live with one of these "body issue" women, and it doesn't matter how much I flatter her, and compliment her, she is still insecure.
