After watching American Christianity debase themselves and genuflect before the vast array of SJW assembled to defeat them I would say that you have it exactly backwards. The Christians are afraid of the Liberals and the Liberals detest the Christians, again, because they make them look bad with world-wide Liberalism.

Cruz had them on their feet last night urging them to reject Christ's teachings to help the poor and the visitors from afar. They were howling in approval, so I believe they weren't Christians.
