Whose watched the "beheading?"

Havn't seen it....not sure I want to.

Is it as "atrocious" as making prisoners form a "nudie dog pile" or letting dogs bark at an Iraqi cowering with his "tool" exposed.

I bet his tool was at half staff!

It's pretty nasty Rhumb.

The guy behind it is the same al Queda dude behind the poison gas being trucked into Jordan.

But it was "all about the prisoner abuse." Kinda like Daniel Pearl huh?

If you are in Iraq doing buisness, make sure to get enough profits in the deal to pay for shipping your body home.

I think it is long overdue for more "transparency" in the reporting of the war.

I think the government should stop shielding the American people from the news.

If the Iraqi pictures are going to be shown, so should this, and not just in the US either.

I'm Just Waiting . . .

Til we capture the bad dudes who did it,
then we can listen to Kennedy et al tell us how we have to treat them really nice.

Right.

No shit Zip!!! And the mutilated bodies being dragged through the streets of Fallujah, and the people jumping to their deaths from the WTC.

If your going to show anything, show it all.

This self-imposed "censorship" of the media, selective censorship, is beginning to piss me off.

Did you look at the prison abuse pictures? Should they have been shown?

Does this include the unloading of flag draped coffins from cargo planes? Cause you seemed to fight pretty hard that should not be shown.

Show it all, or just what you the almighty Ishtard deem newsworthy?

That subject has already been covered. If the press gets permission from the next of kin, no problem.

Bump that thread and take your logic there. :)

Yeah unfortunately several next of kin's have asked for media coverage and been denied by the Pentagon.

Your logic is specious and selective.

I agree that those should be shown as well.

Where was this shown at?

It's online in a few places. A Google of "Nick Berg tape" or something similar ought to get you to it.

I don't have any need to see it myself, but wouldn't object to others seeing it.

it was inhuman and very disturbing.... I need a lot to get disturbed!

They have shown it at the news on TV up here in Quebec.

my grandfather has seen a beheading in Saudi

my grandparents lived there for 6 years

he says he wished he hadn't seen it

From a Washington Post article:
Berg's mother said the family had not seen the tape and were still trying to decide whether to view it. They had been having trouble accessing it because of a slow computer connection.

My God, what a world we live in.

Yeah, they've been killing us for years and we humiliate a few of them but hey, that's fair!

Nuke the whole fucking Sunni triangle. Maybe that will get the point across we've had enough. Round up every last gd cleric that spouts any shit and take THEY'RE heads off.

Or, we could just pull out and send in a bunch of Hari Krishna's to spread peace n love. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Al Qaeda War Crime

News is just breaking that a jihadist website is running a video that purports to show an American, Nick Berg of Philadelphia, being beheaded in revenge for the events at Abu Ghraib prison.

But before we jump to any conclusions about this being retaliation, remember that our enemy has been beheading us (Daniel Pearl), desecrating bodies (early American POW's) and ignoring the rules of war (hijacking aircraft) long before any of them were being humiliated by American MPs!

Why do I think that by tonight this atrocity, if true, will be blamed on Secretary Rumsfeld and President Bush rather than on the murderers who want to behead, poison or irradiate all of us?

By the way, the media this morning was describing Berg's body as showing "signs of trauma."

It is only now that we discover from his murderers he was beheaded. The press wants us to see every photo from the prison, but they try to hide the handiwork of our enemy.

And More Crimes In Gaza

Here's another reminder that Israel and the U.S. are facing the same crazed demonic enemy.

Six Israeli soldiers were killed in Gaza today by a roadside bomb. The Palestinian mob that gathered after the blast danced in the streets while waving body parts of the dead Israelis.

Sound familiar?

We have seen these ghouls before in the streets of Fallujah and in the celebrations in Jenin and elsewhere on September 11, 2001. This is what we face in the war that was declared on us.

These are the people Israel is supposed to find common ground with.

Every politician and reporter in this town should be asking themselves this simple question every day, "Am I writing or saying something that will help or hurt my nation defeat this enemy?"

The next of kin should be able to have the press show pictures of their loved ones coffin. But I'd already said that in the other thread.

Go and bump that one. I'm not interested in persuing that issue in this thread and won't any further. :)

Sounds like Bush has us in quite a mess over there doing this liberation thing.

I guess nothing worthwhile comes cheap, and since a democratic Iraq is what we all want, then we are going to have to deal with the high costs involved.

right?

I saw the pic of the victim on CNN and read a description. That was enough for me. They said you could hear him screaming as his throat was cut. I get the picture.
