I think I will say Sally jessy Rafeal because she really cares about her geusts not like Maury who just uses them for raitings. I used to like Jenny Jones but now she has on some people I dont feel like I even understand!!!LOLOL!! so who is yours favorite talk show host?

Is it Montel? Is it Jenny J? Is it Ricki Lake? Who??????

Personally, I think they're all users or people... but the people give their permission to be used by coming on the shows, so they're not exactly victims.

Maury is the sickest, IMO, because he's always copping a feel off the preteen girls in his "My daughter is so bad" type shows... kinda like my sig line!

its a shame they're not letting her make it to a full twenty
years on the air.......due to low ratings......still, her shows
are good to watch depending on the topic....love those
make-over shows........

Also Oprah......always something good on her show.....
whether it be her bookclub......her "favorite things"
show......."tough topics"......

And Rosie O'Donnell........she must stay up all night
coming up with the creative things that she does....

Talk Shows . . .waste of time?

Raw knows what he's talking about. They're all in it for the ratings. At least Jerry Springer's honest. He doesn't give a damn about the issues (or the people for that matter!). He just gives folks (note - crazy as hell folks) the chance to vent and get embarrased.

Montel tries, but he's a little too opinionated for my tastes.

Montel Williams is my current fave talk show (if I can "break away" from all those COURT shows!!). I particularly enjoy it when the show involves "unsolved crimes" (and other Court TV cases), and Sylvia Brown.

Conan is mine too. Do you count John Stewart and The Daily Show? Prolly not. But, I do love Johnny baby.

Or Dennis Miller.

But Miller and Stewart have the same problem they try to cram a one hour show into a half hour.

They both have an opening monologue, an in the news segment, a celebrity interview segment and a bunch of others(Miller has his Rant, call ins and the Big Screen, Stewart has the on location stuff and the comedian at the end bit) Have either of them ever done an interesting interview?

How could they in the 2 1/2 minutes they have to talk to the often interesting guests they have(Miller interviewing Carlin should have been one of the best TV moments of all time)
