Whoops, I unsubscribed

I just accidentally clicked the "unsubscribe from all threads" link in an email notification of a post to a thread I'm subscribed to. I didn't realize my mistake until it was too late.

So if I seem to drop out of threads, that's why. I have to figure out what I was subscribed to. I had threads going back many, many months that I was monitoring (like fisting threads in how to, etc.)

I'm pretty pissed at myself right now. Does anybody know if there's a way to get it back? (I'm going to ask this in how to also.)

Hit the back button and take notes on all the threads to which you were subscribed. If you've closed the browser yet, then you're fucked. Glad I could help.

Very easy to fix... do a search for all posts you made during the last x number of months.. and then you will have a list to choose from.. Then you will always be able to find them.. regardless of where they fall in the daily listings.. you dont need to go looking page by page..

I don't know, I don't think there is anyway to undo it.

I never used that feature myself. I use the Search to keep track of the threads I've participated in, and of course, to check to see who has been talking about me!

I'm going to have to go the search route for a while, indeed. Ah well!

When I log in, I go to the search page..

In the upper right side I type in my handle and click on search..

This brings up the threads I have posted on, and I can see if there are new posts since the last time I logged in.

If there are I can go to them and read and then reply to posts if I need or want to..

I can also put in the handle of other friends.. to see what they have been up to.

When you are in a thread, you can always "re-subscribe" to it if you want.

It has worked for me for a long time, and I love the way it works.. actually it saves me from subscribing to individual threads.

I happen to prefer getting the notifications by email, which is why I don't normally take the search route.

One time I lost all my subscriptions to threads when Lit for some odd reason thought my email addy was bad or something. It was a real pain because I sometimes follow threads that I don't or haven't replied to. The only thing I could do was watch out for the threads I couldn't remember. I search for my name for the rest.

I've recently started doing that with a few threads, but now I have no idea which ones they were! Fortunately there weren't many.
