Who Won in the 7th Annual Awards for Poetry?

Even though it's not official yet, you can see by the polls, which are now closed, who the winners are! :cathappy:
Great. But without the links I don't even know what to think about it (well, experience tells me... never mind :)).

So, Eve, I know that you are not lazy, that the link ommission was just sloppiness on your part. :)

Wow, already two "smiles". That's a lot.

Regards,

 I see links to the voting results. And they have links to the poems.

Congtatulations all! :rose:

( @ Senna)
Wow, Tristesse rolls her beautiful eyes at me. I am... hm, I am honored. Now you or anybody, perhaps "Erotic Tale", please tell me what does "Most Influential Poet" mean in the context of the given contest? I am just curious.

Why should we bother only to be ridiculed by The Great Jaw?

Personally I don't have a clue, I presume other poets name someone they feel has taught them a great deal on this forum.

Oh, don't be so confused. I am blind. And Eve is neither lazy nor sloppy, Eve is great, congratulations, Eve.

Now, Liar, how can you and others congratulate the winners en mass when the winning erotic poem "Possessed" by Cloudy is such a complete nothing, has no poetic value whatsoever. How can you explain your congratulations? And what value should be attached to such congratulations?

Senna Jawa said:
Then why congratulations?

It was selective - I was happy that poets were recognised. Readers vote for works they liked - one of the things you seem unable to accept is that there are people who enjoy poetry you consider abominable - I might too, I just don't go braying about it because I know it won't change anything.

Warm regards

Apparently, some people like it.

What value should be attached to my congratulations? None more than common courtsey. It was a contest of the most popular poems in different categories. Some was more popular than others, and won. I congratulate them for winning, regardless if I think some other poem was better, or agree with the majority.

Anyhoo, not to be taken for more than it is. A fun lil' poll.

Thanks. :rose:

Senna? Thankfully, your opinion is no more important than anyone else's, regardless of how much you try to convince yourself it is.

I just have read the second highest rated "erotic poem", this one, "Cocksuckie Virus Strain O-69", by our neonurotic. Awful. I can see that it was a contest for the worst possible pseudo-erotic pseudo-poem ("poetry" doesn't even apply to such texts). Ok, congratulations to the winners, you guys deserve it.

Thanks eve

and 'all the poets' nominated and not. I think we have all taught, supported and read each others works. To say one is more influencial than another is mere numbers for it is the whole, that moved this forum with poetry in 2005. The readers, the critics, the supportive, the harsh, the postings, the submissions, the poets, the poems, the people, the threads and the community. Being a part of the lit poetry circle, is influencial in itself. As much as I want to thank you all ... I want to congratulate each and every one for being influencial to me.

bows (~_~) humble
<grin> (now the work out)

You have a strange way of expressing your self since neo's poetry is much more enjoyable to me than yours. Not to mention the fact that he submits more and more and they seem to get better and better,

and I heard you were intelligent, not with a statement such as this. Why would cloudy's poem be a nothing? You can read it, so it is present, it had a lot of favorable comments and votes. Why? Because people liked it! It is obvious that we all do not like the same things so all I can tell you is the 'NORM' liked it and ONE (you) that did not.

as for ..

posted on the thread for voting... by Laurel

The 7th Annual Literotica Awards: Most Influential Poet

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Please choose the poet from the list who affected you the most in 2005. Whose work did you seek out and enjoy? Who made laugh/cry/etc.?

I have said it many times, to be encouraging, inspirational and supportive. You can attract more bee's with a flower than a pile of 'smelly words'. If you see something wrong with a poem, there are many ways to enlighten the poet without calling a poem "pathetic", "sorry" or a "Nothing" or "awful" this just shows your charactor flaw = no politeness

who the fuck is this clown?

neonurotic has written some of the most intense poetry i've ever had the pleasure of reading, and i know that he has been a source of inspiration for many poets on this site, and others as well.

people who diss other's poetry like the above example are in need of a life. if that is their only method of feeling capable, by stating how bad they think someone else sucks, its really pretty pathetic.

its nunna my biz, either. but neonurotic is my favorite poet, and i can't not post to this thread.

Congratulations to the winners and to the other nominees as well.
