First, let me say I'm not trying to hi-jack anyone's thread here. I have a feeling you will see some similarities between this and some other threads and I love them all and don't want to take away from their posts.

But I've noticed there are several threads that seem to cover the "this is who I am," category, and while I find them all interesting, it's hard for me to keep them all straight.

I like learning about the people on Lit. With very few exceptions, everyone has been super cool and very open, and I find that such a breath of fresh air. I've wanted to get to know some of you better, but I have hesitated because I never know if a person is open to PMs or chats or emails, etc. Many times I've seen posts where someone will tell about themselves and I have that... Or worse, I see a post, don't have time to respond at the moment, and then can't remember who it was or which thread it was in.

What I'm hoping this thread can be, in a nutshell, is sort of a "profile compilation" thread, where you tell a little about yourself, what you're into, and if you're open to getting to know others, and if so, to what degree?

My hope would be that you would always be able to go to this thread, scroll through and find some kindred spirits. Maybe make some new friends

I think most people are fairly open to PMs and such, so I would say not to be so hesitant. I used my sig to summarize myself, and I've talked to a few nice people who've PMed me after seeing it.

Doing so also attaches it to all of your posts, which will often be in threads for topics you enjoy, so you're more likely to find more like people who share an interest or two with you.
