Who was your favorite Doctor Who?

Tom Baker!

And I kind of liked the fifth guy, Peter Davidson (that was his name, right?).

Baker was the first I ever saw, and yes, Davidson, who I knew from "All Creatures Great and Small." The original was kinda of interesting, b&w--especially after having seen the later episodes first.

Tom Baker, hands down. Although I kinda had the hots for the little Scottish guy...Sebastian something?

Baker was my favorite...

Davidson kinda grew on my over time. But he had the distinct disadvantage of not being in the five doctors ( potential for major gaffe there) and the Key of Time series.

Now if we want to consider favorite assistants:

Mine is and always will be NYSSA!! :D

I loved the original Romana from the Key To Time series. Only six episodes! I always wanted to see more of her. :(

Oh yeah, the original Romana was a fine woman too.
She'd definitely be at the top of my list.....a place or two behind NYSSA!

Sorry Dillinger, didn't mean to hijack the thread.

BAKER was my favorite Dr Who!!

oh god... here i go again :)

this was put here just to bring out my geekiness :)

Peter Davidson (aka Tristian from All Creatures Great And Small) was my favourite

followed closely by Joh Pertwee who played the third (aka Werzel Gummage the scarecrow) ...

oh, and there was a simple reason Tom Baker was not in the Five Doctors.... he had an ego attack and refused.

Strange how it seems that most everyone remembers Baker as the first Doctor they saw even though the show had been on for such a long time previous. No wonder he's everyone's favorite.

Like that's even a question Dillinger.

I was about to say that I guess it was they type of question where the answer was already a given - that Tom Baker was EVERYONE'S favorite... but QuickDuck just invalidated that point. Unless he is, perhaps, the exception that proves the rule.

That's strictly an American thing, I think. Someone will, I'm sure, correct me if I'm wrong but Baker was the first Doctor they showed here on TV in America? In England, of course, they actually got them in the correct order.

Pertwee for mine but then I grew up when he was the first one i saw so i think my judgement comes from that.

nah, i just like being different :)

I think Tom Baker (as opposed to Colin Baker, the 6th Doctor) made more episodes than any of the others, which is why people tend to remember him better.

Colin Baker (did not like him much)

I really liked Sylvester McCoy. I would have liked to seen him do a few more seasons.

McCoy was good but by the time he got on board the storylines had become pretty godawful. Then they followed him up with that abyssimal TV movie!

Nah, I'm a big fan of Pertwee's Dr. even though we Americans saw all of Tom Baker's episodes about five times before we saw any of the others.

Leela is my favorite sidekick -- especially in the leather outfits.

Orbital did a "dance theme for geeks".

A techno remix of the theme simply called "Doctor?"
