You are doomed to an eternity of listening to Roy Orbison or Neil Diamond.

Who do you choose?

You are a sick sick man.

I will poke my ears out with a blunt unsanitary object.

I am a Roy man, myself. Which is not to say Neil was short. But if I had to pick between the two.... Roy.

People should know these things. My mom gave me a bunch of LPs she inherited from an uncle. I got shit that is like from the 50's still with the plastic wrapper on across the LP.

$1.98 for an album?

I am getting older.

I voted for Neil because he wrote "I'm a Believer" and other Monkees hits.

Nothing wrong with Neil. I just think Roy.... well... tastes... what can you say.

I dated a girl who was a Neil Diamond fanatic. Nothing wrong with that. And she put out good lovin' when we played him.

I just think Roy was more sincere. His voice... his music. Not rock-not country. Just Roy.

Go and vote Neil. I am just riff. Nobody special. I am just asking a question for people who know both artist's work.

i gotta go with roy. and not just because he's from texas like most of the good musicians but because he's damned near a god. i'd give my left nut (most of it anyway) to be able to sing like that.

Gotta go with Roy.I got to see him once. That voice was pure emotion. He tried to convey that in all his songs.

Neil was part of the song machine that included Neil Sedaka & Goffin & King.Churning out songs for others seems less sincere. Some of his songs did convey sincerity, though.
A couple that come to mind.
Play Me
If You Know What I Mean

For real artists,I've gotta go for Neil Young & Stevie Ray--always true to what they believe.

I'll buy Brother Young, But Johnny Winter taught Stevie Ray and Rick Derringer all they ever knew.

Great choice on Johnny---always true to himself. You'd have to go waaay back for the influences on both though.
